Newton Heat

Newton Heat Lancashire and Yorkshire Cricket and Football club was founded in 1878. 1890 the name was changed to Newton Heat FC.

But did we ever actually play cricket? And for how long? Were we any good?

Not to be picky but it was Newton Heath.

To my knowledge, United were formed in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR (Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway).
