Can they still post in the newbie forum after they have been promtoed? If so why? Why should they have a privelige which is denied to most long standing members?

The software is set up to allow promoted Newbies to continue posting in the Newbie Forum until they reach 150 posts.

Only seems fair as we all check back on responses to the posts we have made. As a Newbie I'd have been well peed off to have typed one of my long boring diatribes and then been promoted and thereby stopped from reading the replies.

Well spotted. :) BR gets the prize.

Brilliant tune by the Buzzcocks that one.

 Agreed Stoney but I've got that one.

If you could organise a copy of the Spiral Scratch EP (original release preferably :smirk: ) I'll happily spend my day in the blindingly obvious questions forum answering A1Dan for you. ;)

No it's not.

When you start being able to post with us grownups, you should stop posting in the newbie forum.

Therefore it's your own fault and you can blame it on yourself.

 Oi - it was not in the least bit obvious, I reckon DLE's point is a good one. Like anybody replies to your tedious rants anyway  :smirk:

So you understood what DLE was wittering on about , but failed to figure out why promoted Newbies have access to their own haunts for a brief spell.

Does the stupidity come & go? :smirk:

Have you had a blow to the head recently? :p

Note to DLE: It wasn't my complaint, I was here before the Newbie forum existed, I simply attempted to explain to Dan the logic in allowing the newly promoted limited access to the threads where they cut their teeth.

Newbies get a while to view threads they may have been involved in before they no longer have access.

Wasn't talking about YOU specifically..just came out that way.

After all, you've been here longer than me I think. ;)

Leave me alone. :(
What possible indication was there anywhere that at some point they were then stopped from posting in the newbie anyway.
BTW, thank you Marching for your straightforward informative reply.
Note to DLE: You've been here longer than BR ;)
