New Years Day v Sunderland

I'm mad to get tickets for our New Years Day fixture at home to Sunderland. I have friends coming over from Australia, fans who've never seen a game live.

Now I know Boxing Day is always a great event... my question is "How popular is New Years Day" ?

New years day is a public holiday much like boxing day and legend has it that its the first day of the year...
