Still absorbing it MUM but I like it a lot. I think it is a very strong album indeed, and the fact that I am not instantly in love with it bodes well for it's longetivity. To put it in context though I am a big fan of this band, have been for over 12 years now.
I love it. I think this is some of the band's strongest work. Nude, weird fishes and reckoner are stunningly beautiful and moving. The main thing impressing me about this album is the flow, it stands up as a whole so well.
I heard the new songs live last year when they toured and I think they have done them justice in the studio.
Not heard the average price paid but there was an article that I posted in the other thread saying that they had shifted 1.2 million copies of it within a couple of days of release. No figures on how many of those were box sets or what, would be interesting to know the figures.
