Quite good looking I must say. Let's just hope the revamp covers the gaming aspect as well.

I was disappointed with the 2009. Hope they come up with a more entertaining version to play.

I don't understand Konami, they could just reuse the PES 4 engine then spend a few months getting the graphics up to speed/updating the game. After that they could all go on vacation and watch it sell .

I hope 2010 is back to its best, but I really doubt it :(

konami let us down every year now, i have given up on them

FIFA got better reviews when FIFA and PES came out last year, but after a month or so spent playing, many reviewers gave a new review, because PES got better and better the more time they spent playing it, while FIFA stayed the same.

That looks fantastic. I hope we see the return of PES this year. I was always a big fan of the series until the last couple of years when somehow they messed it up. It was a game that was ridiculously good in terms of gameplay and the one series who i thought wouldnt fall away as they were too good at what they did.

That looks fantastic if it's really an in game image and not just a cut scene...(although he looks a bit demonic)

I'd agree with The Law of Dennis...PES 4 was almost the most complete football game ever...but they seemed to get cocky and every installment after that was a minor upgrade...even extending to the next gen ones which felt like PS2 games vamped up a little
Come on PES...Lets Be Having You!!!

Both Fifa and Pes have fundamental flaws that need changing. Fifa needs a few major changes whilst Pes needs a complete overhaul.

Please Konami, I'll suck your balls if you get it right this year.

I dont think it needs a complete overhall. It needs to go back to what made it so fricking awesome and then work on making a more next-gen experience (er or now current gen). But their basics earlier were always spot on.

Yes they were spot on, four or five years ago. But that's a long time in gaming terms. Even if they went along the lines of your idea, making it more of a next gen experience would mean a complete overhaul of many things.

Either way they need to scrap the last effort.

I dont think its been that long. I think its only two years since i switched to Fifa.

But it would be really something if PES returned to form on these next gen consoles. I've been playing Fifa 09 since it came out and as much as i like it, it doesnt have the same variety that PES used to have. In PES there were unlimited ways of scoring a goal. In Fifa there are always 3 or 4 ways to score which are repeated.
