It has become apparent that certain teams want to have no restrictions on spending. Domestically, these currently include Man City, Chelsea and Newcastle.
I propose that these teams should have their own league where they can spend as much as they like and play each other in an endless round robin tournament until they have furiously outspent each other to death.
Meanwhile, the rest of the football league could play on with sensible financial restrictions to keep a semblance of a level playing field, where potentially, a well run club could win things.
Or do we let capitalism completely ruin football?
