New F1 Season in 2 weeks! Make your predictions!

I predict that it will be as boring as last year and the year before.

And WTF is Spoony rambling on about.

I think Button will make a huge amount of progress this year maybe finishing in top 3

Agreed, i reckon it will be BAR or Honda Racing's best season to date in terms of Grand Prix wins. How nany could potenitally go Button's way i don't know, the first race and testing will be telling, i can't remember, is it beginning in Brazil or Australia this year?

Don't forget, this year it is not Button and Sato, but Jenson Button and Rubins Barrichello.

If you can get good odds on one of those two winning at Silverstone this year, i'd take them.

Button came 3rd in the Drivers Championship in 2004, behind Schumacher and Barrichello, so if the car is reliable and fast enough, they'll surprise a few people this year IMO.

As for Renault, i think this will be a more difficult season for them, will Alonso be fully focused with his departure looming?

They're planning to introduce a relegation zone into F1, that should hopefully improve things further.

I think Schumacher will make this his grand farewell and nick it this season. On preseason form, at least the Ferrari looks competitive (even if it isn't better than the rest like 2003-2004), and if the cars are the same, he's still the best around.

Alonso is looking incredibly strong for the race, but hopefully Button or Ferrari will prove not to be running as light as I suspect. Alonso was looking so comfortable when they were all running light that I fear he has got way more fuel on board and the Ferrari at least isn't that competitive at all.

What did folk make of the new qualifying? Seems very daft to me; how many teams are going to actually compete for pole over the course of the season? Those engines are having an awful lot of extra laps piled on them... Barrichello was just a couple of laps off half race distance. True many are at low revs, but considering teams generally push their engines to the nth degree you have to wonder how many will look to take on a lot of fuel and win by outlasting rivals rather than outracing them.

How many laps do you think Kimi will drive?

I reckon ~25, then BOOOOMMMMM!!!!

Why is Steve Ryder presenting it? Has Jim Rosenthal been sacked?

Alonso wins.

Schumacher and Alonso seem evenly matched. It should be a good season.
