says in the mail today that we look after all to be going for Escude and Sorin. this might suggest that SAF is going for Sorin as an option cover for Giggs which would free up Giggs to play more up front this year. I always think we miss Giggs on the left, he's not a striker, deep lying or otherwise. Anyone else heard about this transfer variation being in SAF plans?

Sorin might just be the option that Fergie will take. As we all know, he's lack of fund to buy another striker. And where can you find a below 10M striker these days? If Lazio offer Sorin to settle the debt, why not?

And if Escude is signed, then we will have enough cover for the defence. And the 4th striker might just be Giggsy although I think he is the best at left.

I've been saying for ages that we want both Sorin and Escude, with Silvestre on his way out.

There is a quote on there which backs up the story that we will have talks with them on sunday. Plus the idea that Escude might arrive next summer on a pre-contract basis is floated. Intriguing idea anyway. And you have to find the last line funny!

But it puzzles me that there seems not much news about that. The season is going to start very soon, so if fergie really want to change our LB he should do it asap.

First Lazio owe us £10.5m, then it's £12m and now it's £8m!!!

Does anyone really know what it is? And, how come Lazio were able to buy Sorin when they owe us? Are they now on a payment plan with Cruzeiro too?

All seems a bit sketchy to me.

can't seem to find an agreed upon amount they owe us - bit of a gap innit? maybe they could give me the difference if nobody is goinna notice, or give the difference to Leeds who need it more than I do. :D

The soccernet article answers your question I think.

Once we get the CL qualifier out of the way there will be a bit of transfer news as the PLC wont pay out if we dont go through (unthinkable). The last line of the article IS very funny

TTR, it has always been "the Stam money" but never too clear how much it is. As for Sorin, he was bought quite a while ago but they had agreed he would finish his season in Cruzeiro before moving.
