There does seem at the moment to be the new breed of Sky fans that 'demand' to be 'entertained' - like going to a football match is akin to going to the pictures, or the theatre or whatever..
What the feck?!

Going to a footy match is just that. You meet your mates. Get a few drinks down you. Sit there shout and sing a lot. Go to the pub after - get totally pissed, get a kebab and stagger home in the early hours..

What is this 'entertainment' bollocks? If we win I'm entertained. If we lose I'm not.

Not unless you've got a spinning wheel with a little ball rolling around in it on top of your head!

I prefer to see an entertaining attacking game to a boring defensive game - and most football fans I know agree with me.

I prefer to see us win. Full stop.

Man Utd played 'attractive' 'attacking' football for 26 years and won feck all with it..

The history books only record success.

When you started your current run of form - there were an awful lot of 1-0's in the last minute or 2-1s and you wouldn't (quite rightly) see a Manc complaining about that - they were just made up they had won.

There is nothing more disappointing than seeing an attractive interesting flowing game of football and losing 3-0 (Chelsea anyone?)

I had a bet with a Manc in work about the outcome of a Liverpool v Man Utd game - he lost and wouldn't pay til management threatened him.

I know him and he wouldn't pay - so I'm not likely to trust you now am I?

Of course the main object is to win, but I prefer us to win AND play good, entertaining football. I'm a football fan as well as a Man United fan, and there is nothing more pleasing for a football fan to watch a game of football between two good sides that play in an attacking style.

Well obviously, but to win is the prime objective.

I'm sure you'd rather play like a bag of shite and win than play fantastically well and get thumped 3-0

As I said, yes.

But I rather we play attacking football and win than play defense oriented football and win.....

Think you got a bit of a chip on your shoulder because your lot playsuch boring football, which might be the reason why you struggle filling up your sorry excuse for a stadium.... ;)

Yeah we really do play boring football. So dull that we only average 2.5 goals a game..

Have you ever really been to a football match in your life?

Pool actually played a very attractive game during the 70s and 80s and won a few trophies

Your current crop are nowhere near those teams of yesteryear in terms of entertainment OR wins

Please state your FACTS about how you arrive at 2.5 goals

Or is it just more bullshit coming out from your arse?

Why should management be involved in a personal bet?

And now we play attractive football and win with it......

Is it true that nowadays Liverpool do a lap of honour when they win a corner?.......

What if they actually score a goal, even with our much maligned defence you'll see that we have the best goal difference in the league...... :) ......

2.5 goals a game...???

You've scored 30 goals in 20 league games if I'm not mistaken, hardly scored in the CL, scored 1 in the League Cup and 3 in the FA cup. How on earth did you manage to conclude that you've scored on average 2.5 goals per game?

And yes, I've been to one or two games.....

Bitter@Alerton

Liverpool's games and goals:

League: 20 games, 30 goals
CL: 8 games, 8 goals
FA Cup: 1 game, 3 goals
Worthless: 1 games, 1 goal
Total: 30 games, 42 goals

According to my calculator that is an average of 1.4 goals per game

;)

In the league:
LFC->30goals/20games = 1.5 goals per game
Opp->20goals/20games = 1.0 gpg

Apparently, Andy added them up ;) They didn't teach him algebra.

How's that for a new age pundit eh Andy?

Indeed he didn't say Liverpool. Its obvious your after school reading lessons are paying off.

Sorry, I'm just in a silly sarky mood tonight. ;)

Of course, you Scousers can always watch us for some good attacking football:

League: 21 games, 51 goals
CL: 8 games, 15 goals
FA cup: 1 game, 3 goals
Worthless: 1 game, o goals
Total: 31 games, 69 goals

The calculator says 2.3 goals per game

;)
