Gary Neville will continue his ongoing pursuit of match fitness by lining up for United's Reserves again, in Monday's final Barclays Premier Reserve League game at Newcastle.

The Reds' club captain sat out last Thursday's victory over the Magpies in case he was required to return to first team duty, but will feature on Monday evening while the first team prepare to face Roma.

Chris Eagles and Danny Welbeck are also in the travelling party in Rome, leaving Brian McClair and Jim Ryan without two of their in-form forwards, leaving Federico Macheda as the sole striker in the 15-man squad.

Rodrigo Possebon is back in the squad despite limping out of Thursday's victory, while Sean Evans returns after a two-match absence.

United squad: Zieler, Amos; Neville, Eckersley, Cathcart, Chester, C Evans; Cleverley, Gray, Possebon, Jones, Brady, Eikrem; S Evans, Macheda.

As spoken of in the other thread; good to see Rodrigo and Brady fit enough to feature in this one. Robert Brady must have been setting the U16's alight because all of a sudden he's got himself into the Reserves side almost as well as the U18's (after having only featured for them in a couple of matches a few months ago).

Should be a good game hopefully, should be interesting to see how Macheda does in the Reserves without Welbeck this time. By the way, Welbeck fully deserves his call up into the United squad for Roma.
