Nesta to NY Red Bulls

Reports out of Italy and the US claim Nesta is on the verge of joining NY Red Bulls.

I didn't watch a lot of AC this season, how were his injuries? He always seems to have something wrong with him. Pity too because at his height he was in my opinion the best defender in the world.

Great signing for NYRB if its true. Although he is a defender however, he is still 36.
 
Great signing, this should go a long way to fixing the defense that is currently worst in the league. And since the Red Bulls are already currently the top scoring team in the MLS, an improved defense should make them very dangerous.
 
More reasons to go watch the Red Bulls then. Good shit.
 
Awesome signing for them. I thought he was excellent against Barcelona, particularly the 0-0. Still reads the game as well as any defender in the world.

Great signing for MLS and NYRB, it's a pity they arent able to see all of these magnificent players in their league in their prime though.
 
It's slowly, very slowly paving the way for it though. Beckham, Henry and Nesta aren't as washed up as players used to be when they'd go there. Thierry's having a brilliant season so far actually.
 
What are they going to do with Marquez now? He's a useless bastard who costs a lot of money. Maybe they'll throw him in the Hudson with cement around his feet.
