Righto heres what I've been watching or have watched so far -

24
Lost
Entourage
Prison Break
South Park
Family Guy
The Wire
Flight of the Conchords
Battlestar Galactica
The Office
Weeds
Arrested Development

Anything I've missed? Any glaring ommissions?

Californication
Lost- only seen some of Season 1 seems fairly captivating

Yeah that was a good one, used to watch that one back in day, had like 0 viewers for some reason though

Already seen Lost and Arrested Development.

Will probably give Californication a chance.

Burn Notice, a spy show, though not overly serious like 24

Mad Men, set in early 60's Manhattan ad agency, just a gorgeous show

I've heard good things about Mad Men. The premise doesnt really excite me but I've been meaning to get into it.

I recommend the following:

Band of Brothers
Chuck
Dexter (Not the cartoon but the serial killer)
Generation Kill
House
Jericho
Las Vegas
The Unit

Peep Show.

Brilliant comedy. It's all on youtube aswell.

just search for "Peep Show S01E01" and so on.

the shield
burn notice
psych
dexter
house

all of them are great

Hmm thats alot of suggestions. In the mood for a comedy so I'm going with Californication for the time being.

Will keep the rest in mind. Shield and Mad Men especially.

Add Curb Your Enthusiasm to that list.

Its better than Arrested Development for me anyway.

Oops forgot to mention I watch that as well. Brilliant.

Any idea when the next season's starting?

There is going to be a new season but I read there was no specific time schedule on it.

It only said before the end of next year in America.

I would definitely add the Shield as well. It's just started the 7th and final season last week and it's a cracking show.

Also the new Dexter has also just started, the first two seasons are good, the first possibly being better.

Band of Brothers is an excellent Mini-series, well produced and looks great. Each episode cost something like 12m to make. Rome is also really good, and has some top production values along with a great cast.

Weird how no-one has mentioned Heroes - never seen it myself but when it came out there was a lot of hype surrounding it.

Last season was just plain awful IMO. Stopped caring about it now.

Dexter
Arrested Development
Heroes Season 1 is good but it's gone downhill since.

Thats about it. My Name Is Earl?

Haven't watched it myself but I have had Deadwood recommended too me.

Deadwood is excellent. So far as I can tell (I must admit to being no sort of expert on the subject) it's quite authentic from a historical perspective. The script is brilliant, witty, funny and very engaging. It must be said though that it is also rather blue (just try and count the amount of times Lovejoy calls someone a f*cking c*nt each episode).

The only downside that may put people off, is the speed at which the story unfolds (if you like the pace of shows like Prison Break and 24 then you may get bored quickly).

Looks nice, brilliantly acted and worth a watch.
