I support the Celtics. Great team with great history; going through a nasty spell right now. Paul Pierce is one of the top ten players in the league, god knows how long he'll be with us, but we're in a re-building period right now with a lot of youngsters. It'll be a few more seasons before we can contend again. Danny Ainge has been a rather controversial GM; he's made some dodgy moves, but we'll see how things go and how some of these young players develop
having said that, we still could squeeze into the playoffs; the eastern conference is absolutely terrible so I won't rule it out. I won't be watching intently though.
As for the contenders this year, it looks like the Mavs, Spurs and Suns will be in it at the end as with last year. Surprise contender so far is the Jazz - they've been excellent. I feckin hate the Lakers and always will. Kobe is a real fecker, on and off the court. Unfortunately he's rather good, and the feckin Lakers are as well. He's still a ballhog but he is one of the best... doesn't mean he'll go to heaven. so far I would have to put LA in contention as well. The east is shite, the magic (basically dwight howard) have been excellent; who knows how long they'll keep it up. I'm sure the Pistons and Cavs will be in... Miami is lookin pretty dire without Shaq around. Things will change greatly over the months to come.
LeBron is real young, he can equal Kobe in years to come. James is more of a team player I think. It's refreshing to see new blood (James, Wade, Anthony, Howard, Stoudemire) coming into the league looking to play with a team and not rack up stats.
bye now
