Miami won 4-1 today, they go into the conference finals.

Spurs and Mavs tied 2-2
As are Cleveland and Pistons

Clippers v Phoenix is going on, tied at 2-2, Clippers leading 86-79 in the 4th quarter. 9:40 ot go

88-80 now.

NBA? Without basketball they would be picking cotton and they will be too if the league don't get its act together regarding the wage cap.

It's not racist. If anything, it's grounded in a partially accurate notion that African countries have benefited from the discovery of cotton, without which they wouldn't have had the resources to modernize the way they have.

Mavs take game 1 and that's with Wade and Shaq doing well (save free throw shooting) and Dirk playing the invisible man role.

Dirk's struggles don't bode well for Miami. The Suns held him to 11 points and the next game he dropped 50.

I see Dallas up 2-0. In that scenario, Miami has to win games 3-5 at home or they're done. If they lose 1 of the 3 at home, I can't envision them winning games 6 and 7 in Dallas.

Game 2 is a must win for Miami, IMO. But I don't think they will.

Now try to relate the NBA to African countries. Most of the dark skinned folks you see playing hoops in the league are "African-Americans," that is, citizens of the USA whose presence in the country goes back to as early as 1619. Your connection of those Americans to developing nations in a continent across the Atlantic is at least perniciously "racial" if not racist.
 
Haven't been following with exams and the World Cup. So how good has Nowitzki been?
 
couldn't watch the live games myself. saw the reruns. don't know the stats but nowitzki's been in top form of late.

shaq i think broke his own record for missing free throws in the first game. been playing well otherwise. so was wade.

I can understand not liking a team, but the entire conference? Why such hatred Jacquline? :)
 
Its nice to finally win one. I had to endure the first Heat season back in the 80s when we lost our first 17 games. Nice to see Riley win one again as well.
