Andrea Bargnani, a 7 foot forward from Italy taken first overall by the Raptors. Poor decision I reckon, he could have dropped to 8th and he's (literally) a massive risk. JJ Redick drops out of the top 10 following his back problems and DUI. Jordan gets a worthy protege in Adam Morrison at 3rd for Carolina. Interesting draft.
 
And two Israelies picked in the second round with little chance of ever actually making it to the NBA. Typical.

Apparently the 2006 Draft is nothing major, but next year it should be quality.

Morrison is slow, white, a defensive liability, and there's no evidence he has the mental toughness to make it at the next level. I think he was as big a gamble as was Bargnani.
