Scored his 2nd hattrick against a Premiership side in the past year. Anyone know anymore about the guy ? I know he's at Wigan and was at Bristol last year etc. Sounds like one to keep an eye on.

He's 21 years old and is obviously a good prospect. Will be interesting to see how he gets on, wonder how far along an under-21 call-up is.

Good prospect, but to buy a top prospect from the football league will cost an absolute fortune. It's a catch 22 situation, are any premiership sides going to pay an extortinately high price for a player from the lower league when they can possibly sign a European/South American player who may be getting on a bit or has been in trouble, but who has played at the top level and was (maybe still is) an international. I am thinking about Dundee's signing last year of Claudio Canniga for a small fee, also Cantona when he first came to England, Zola was cheap, even Di Canio when he went to Celtic from Italy.

Can't see him costing all that much. 2-3m perhaps. After all he's still a prospect that I'm sure alot of clubs are watching. He's scored 2 hatricks against Prem sides, but has yet to play a whole year in the Prem.

Sod him. What about this ugly little bastard?Robert Earnshaw from Cardiff.11 goals in 6 games.20 years old,5 foot 2in.here he is in action, putting the sheep out of the FA cup last season.
O' Leary:"It'd be great if our cup run started in cardiff and also ended there."
How very true david.

He'd cost less than forlan, who was bought as "One for the future".And this bloke is quality; He scored against oliver khan on his international debut and had one wrongly ruled out for offside.
Somebody is going to stump up the cash needed for Earnshaw and they will have the best young striker in Britain, bar none.

Neither Earnshaw or Ellington would cost much at all. between 2 and absolute max of 4m. CD and Gazza are talking total cobblers.

No it won't :p

...and besides,no-one in the football leauge has any money. We could probably get that ellington guy if we offered a sack of training bibs and some cones.Cardiff will let Earnshaw go for half a dozen knuckledusters and a tub of eyebrow dye for Sam Hammam.
