Nadal does a 'Hargreaves'

Wow, that is devestating to his career if this becomes a re-occuring thing.

Cue Federer re-dominance.

From reading bits and pieces elsewhere, I don't think it's the same form(chronic patellar) and won't necessarily be a problem if treated correctly.

That said, I'm not a doctor, so I don't really know.

He says he's had painful knees for months and the tennis calendar is too crowded. He's got 3 choices: change his style of play (unlikely), play less tennis, or continue to have severe injury problems.

Well Federer had tons of problems last year. I hope Nadal recovers to full fitness and Federer still wins everything. :D

I've seen this coming from miles out, his knees are awful his age. Hopefully he can get through it, but I do think it will at the very least have some adverse effect on his career

fed has been great for many many years and still has some left. he's probably the greatest all-time. nadal's had a really good year and a half, or so, and was to be the next great champion if he can stay healthy. doesn't look good for him.

Overtraining I would guess. To be a great professional you have to understand your body's limits.
