Just played Wii today after a while for the first time on my Samsung 32' HDTV. Its all blurry. Looked better when I had a SDTV.

Any help as to what I can do to make it look better?

Also I was playing around with my settings and forgot what my default Sharpness setting was. Out of 100 what should be my sharpness for normal viewing?

That's because it's basically outputting SDTV resolutions. I could be wrong, but I've read somewhere that it doesn't even render in widescreen, it's all anamorphic.

You'll just have to mess with the settings on your TV, or buy a TV with a better scaler.

1. Buy the component cable, if you haven't already got one

2. Set the output of the Wii to 480p

3. Adjust settings on TV

If all fails, then...

4. Buy a better TV.

4. Sell the Wii and buy a PS3 or a 360.

Wii's graphics are shit anyway, it can't show proper HD iirc.

Its not a question of graphics people. Everything including the text just lacks focus and looks blurry.

It looked fine on standard def before I got this new TV.

Because standard def is basically what it outputs. To display that on a HDTV, it needs to be scaled up (in your case to 3x its original size). Christ knows what it would look like on a 1080p panel. Am I talking to a brick wall here?

Nah I got your point Weaste. Was just explaining to people who thought its simply a game graphics problem that its not the case.
