My warning from Eyepopper

Hi Admins/Mods,

Eyepopper told me to come here if i have a complain about the warning he dished out to me earlier. Well here I am.

I was given a warning for a comment about the image of English footballers at the moment. It was intended very much in jest and I amended my post as soon as I realised some may take it the wrong way.

I just want to post here to say that in my 8 years as a member of the caf i have never had a problem with anyone, enjoy the caf very much and think that Eyepopper has given me this warning for unjustified reasons.

I see the warning expires in December so no worries. But I just wanted to put this on the record in the correct forum.

I've seen 2 people do this today. You know your name is on the left hand side of the post right?
 
So, are you complaining? Or agreeing with the warning by deleting the post?

I'm just following Eyepopper's direction.

He gave me a warning, i think unfairly so I have posted a note in the admin forum. I thought this was the right course of action.

I thought it was some kind of formal warning that I had over stepped the mark.

If it did I am genuninely sorry and amended my post as soon as I realised anyone may take offence. It was meant to be a joke about the image of the English football team...in the context of our chat about Rooney's image...

Formal is not always the way to go when 'the man' puts his weight on you. I'm with Sultan, some sort of physical pain should be meted out, preferably randomly, so others take heed.
 
That's nothing. I received a 3 point infraction from Dr Dwayne for this post. He did, in fairness, admit he gave them to me as a joke and say that they could be reversed, but clearly hasn't done so. If a kindly admin could confirm with Dwayne and then reverse the infraction that would be great.

I might infract you for that when the current one expires, that was acting the dick Logan.

Basically we try and encourage a 'thing before you post' mentality in the football forums.

If you're going to post something think is it more likely to be part of the debate or add nothing to the debate.

If it was a joke fair enough but its the sort of thing that could easily derail the thread and turn into an argument.

A warning is basically a recorded PM. They're recorded so that repeating patterns of behavior can be seen by all mods, so you dont end up getting 5 PMs from 5 mods all telling you what was wrong with the post.
 
it's only a warning, hardly the end of the world. after my last run in with pop i gained herpes and a full blown limp.
 
ffs rimaldo, easy for you to say it's only a warning, we weren't all brought up in da ghetto to have such disrespect for the law

He's a bit of an arsehole to be fair.
 
I always think its fair pithy when football commentators toss out the term "Handbags at dawn"... but it seems pretty appropriate for this thread.
 
General comment to everyone: Warnings are formally given out now so that we have a track of who was warned & about what? They have no points attached to them unlike infractions.

Just take it as its intended, a warning.
