Since last weeks game against Siddy, ive stayed reserved and read through everybodies post's
ranging from the damn right stupid to more intelligent views.
I am therefore going to put across what i think of our current situation.
I'll begin by saying this much, there is a problem. Since 93' this is the biggest fight we have ever had to battle. The game last week DOES still hurt and will take a while to wear off. But slagging the team and staff doesn't help.
50% of the Cafe claim to be "supporters",
Support comes from the word Supporters.
Which unfortuntly some people on here lack.
To suggest that SAF should be sacked is absolute ludicrosy, he has proved himself to be the most successful United manager of all time, and ain't done bad everywhere else he's been!
As United supporters (and Davo) we need to get behind the team, singling out "the Neville sisters" and Veron is not a way forward, i'm not going to lie and say that I think Veron is a United player, because i don't. Football is a collective effort, you can teach a player how to play football, But you can't teach DESIRE and HUNGER, this is what we have lost since 99'
But if we are going to fight this battle we have to get behind the team.
As far as i'm concerned, we ALL know that SAF has let our squad get far too weak. Lets not point out the obvious, but we need to see it out until January, then maybe when the transfer window re-opens we can strengthen.
I'm only 16 so i can't remember the bleak days of the 80's, i av my old man and videos to go by that we were shite. We have all come to expect soooo much that we've forgotten what its like to be "average".
NO team can stay successful for decades and decades, I know that from here its going downhill. But FFS lets back SAF!!!
I dont think we'll do much this year, maybe not even next.
But i reckon SAF will have sorted it out by 04 and we'll win back "our trophie"
REMEMBER
WE'LL NEVER DIE
