Very well written and cast. Probably the best character driven comedy on TV at the moment.
I've not found this series as good as the last. Very good all the same mind.

funny program with Jason Lee who I like his stuff, then theres Jaime and Nadine for the sexiness. A bit stupidness of Randy and of course Crab Man

It's nothing new, I know a handful of shows which have covered the concept of it for a single episode. They made a complete series of it
I like Curb, Seinfeld, The Office, etc
There is an episode called "Shaq" in Curb which pisses over anything that My Name Is Earl offers and its done a much much more subtler way

You mad? My Name Is Earl is a class programme and so was Arrested D, I miss Arrested D. The reason why Arrested D was cancelled is b'se yanks don't appreciate black comedy/humour.

Just 'cos people made a series out of it I find it hard to believe why everyone goes ga-ga. Hardly groundbreaking, maybe the only half-decent comedy around today in a genre which currently thrives on re runs of old classics

Most concepts have been done a trillion times. . .but that's not really the point of the show is it, I love the way it pokes fun at Yank trailer park trash. I seriously can't believe you don't mind the Yank Office(which has to be one of the worst things I have ever seen), yet dislike My Name is Earl.
Dunno Spoons, maybe I'm biased about Gervais's writing. And I like Steve Carrel. MNE never really did it for me. Was really excited when they premiered it in here a few months back after many raved about only to be utterly disappointed
The yank office gets much better later on. First half of S1 is crap when they try to copy the British one, but after that they instill their own ideas. Not a big fan but it is better than My name is Earl which I don't find funny at all and I have watched 20 episodes of it. Infact they did when it even wasn't that popular.
I just found the Yank Office very painful to watch. . . and I hate their version of Dave Brent. In fact he's fecking shit in every film I've seen him.
As for MNE, I didn't expect anything from it. . . watched the first episode purely by accident. I love the characters. . .and I mentioned Jason Lee, who's brilliant. He was fantastic in Mallrats too, an otherwise shit movie.
It may not be Blackadder funny, but it's a nice light hearted sitcom.

I like it compared to other american sitcoms, I have seen much of the new series tho.
