The lil' Ginger Prince. IMO he did everything right. Close second was Giggsy. His skills were missed on the left flank, however he more than compensated for that with his direct running throught the middle.

Barthez: The only goal he could realistically have saved was the free kick. I thought he was positioned too much to his right, and missed the ball by inches. Excellent game overall, but I still hate it when he insists on taking free kicks miles away from his goal.

Silvestre was once again wonderful going forward, but his passes in the first half were not too good. His speed got him out trouble a few times though.

Blanc was once again rock solid. Every time he goes for a header, you know 9 times out of ten he will get it (and direct it accurately too). Blanc is a typical "proactive" defender and clears things up before they happen.

Johnsen: He did ok, but I think is still a bit rusty. R Keane zoomed past him before crossing for Leeds 3rd goal.

G Neville: played alright, and did go forward a few times. Solid, but nothing to write home about really.

Becks was not very efficient in the early stages, but what a fantastic run by him to set Giggs up! And was fecking fast too!

Butt had an excellent game too. He has not had a bad game for ages now, our Nicky.

Keano had a very good game too, though he misplaced his passes quite a few times. Got out of this one without a yellow. phew!

Ole Ole Ole Ole: Is a better starter or is he better coming off the bench?? I don't really care. He is just fecking awesome whenever he gets the ball in the box! 'nough said.
 
I thought Mickey was one of our best performers today. good going forward and used his strength well at the back.
Blanc was class again.
Ole scored the goals.
Keano was my MOM hands down, the man was everywhere as usual. Its no wonder we got beat against Boro when he wasnt there...we are unfortunately very reliant on him.
 
i think scholesy is by far out best player! what he gets so much grief is beyond me! Perhaps he's the best midfielder in the league!

if we have enough money to spend on someone like veron, we should have a fraction of that to spend on a real striker. Sorry ole just doesnt do it for me, ruud is good great though. What about JFH?

This season we could have had two.

Ole didn't start the first seven games of the season, and with five to go, has scored 21.

Not a real striker my arse!!

Alex Stepney and Stuart Pearson were saying earlier - before being cut off in their prime when broadcasting was suspended - that Ole is just like one of the big 6 - Becks, Nevs, Butt, Scholes, and Giggs - more or less homegrown talent.

And I agree. I've always said that.

It's very difficult to determine the MOM this match: Silverstre was nearly faultless, Scholes was so sharp and worked so hard, while Giggs and Ole were always a great threat up front.

Silvestre: 8

Beckham: 7
Butt: 6

Silvestre has improved a lot and I am sure will be first choice at left back for the French National team if not for the presence of Lizarazu. Just hope that he will be played there more often and not at the centre as he is now currently deployed. SAF must have realized that shooting from far is another option that United should be using more often with the likes of Scholes, Beckham, Veron and keane who are good in this area. I still think that P. Neville should be first choice right back. He is more alert and sometimes during aattack play, his cutting in to the centre and unleashing a left foot drive will be advantageous to United. Garry can't do that. Garry made a mistake on the equaliser for leeds. He tripped while turning and I just feel that he is still adjusting to this position after playing so long at the centre.

Thought Bevks was doing a Kanchelskis down the wings, but then i realised it is not that Becks is " feckin fast " but rather Ian Harte is feckin slow. Couldn't catch up with Becks altho' Becks was the one running with the ball !

Scholes was brilliant. No place for Veron. And Ole, he is just world class.

No, the second choice is Vincent Candela. Roger Lemerre uses Silvestre as a CB.
