We haven't had a good music gigs thread for a while; which ones are coming up and what are you looking forward to?

Missed Babyshambles on Sunday as I've fecked my leg up; not best pleased. Going to see editors in early march so its not all bad though...got a few intresting things in the pipeline; whats everyone else up to?

Got Portishead, Radiohead and Clannad :nervous: lined up so far.

I'm off to Editors too. I must admit I'm not that excited by the prospect, and may end up not going

Hoping the Arctics will announce some big shows this summer (hopefully not at LCCC)

I'd fecking love it if they played the Apollo, have to catch them on a pre tour for that though probably. Keep an eye out and I'll do the same.

:lol::lol::lol:

Clannad!!!!!

Beer everywhere!!

It's for the Missus and the Mother in law, keep em sweet, but saying that I love their Legend album (it's the soundtrack to the old Robin of Sherwood TV series with Michael Praid laterly Jason Connery), it sends you on a nice medieval trip, good tunes.

Dropkick murphys supported by the mad caddies Friday night, Gallows next week and Give it a Name in may so far. I probably shouldn' be going to gallows as I have an op on the 3rd of march to have the pin in my foot re-set. If I get my foot stamped on its going to set me back another twatting year. Oh well it will be worth it

Bought tickets to see ocean colour scene today in the hard rock cafe only 200 people so should be awesome. After that I have to wait until june and Springsteen

Arctics were fecking great at Old Trafford (cricket) last year, might look into them again in a while.

Download Festival lineup looks shit this year
Kiss, Judas Priest, Lost Prophets, Offspring, HIM, Coheed and Cambria, and some more.
some of the bands are ok but I wouldn't be bothered about seeing them

Yeah Radiohead in Victoria Park in the summer. And probably whichever festival line-up looks the best.

I'm looking forward to Dropkick Murphys 1. of april here in oslo. Sptingsteen's playing here in july but i don't have tickets:mad:

Considering going to see QotSA next week.

I'm kinda skint atm though.

I'm off to see Gallows and Anti-Flag next wekk.

Makes two of us. Dropkick tomorrow, gallows and anti flag next week. What the feck are gallows headlining over anti-flag for though? madness.

Got to agree. I'm going to see Anti-Flag primarily, they're excellent live, or atleast they have been when i've seen tham in the past. Not sure what to make of Gallows, i'll judge 'em next week.
Next month i'm off to see Reel Big Fish, that should be a laugh.

Gallows are more kind of punk/metal really like oxymoron or someone. They're nto bad, not in Anti-Flag's league though, plus frank Carter has a habit of sounding like Brody Dahl

They are yes, but that collaboration with Lethal Bizzle was awful. Over produced etc...not like the raw stuff that has earnt them the quick fame. So i'm hoping they've got a storming live act, coupled with Anti-Flag the place should be bouncing.

 what the feck persuaded them to perform with Lethal Bizzle? Luckily for me I'm not that huge a fan of gallows to have seen that. Aye I imagine they will have a great live act, I've never seen a punk band who don't. And if they don't then I'm not too fussed because either way I know dropkick and Anti-Flag definitely will

I love watching live music, go to quite a few gigs. I haven't seen a great gig though, most bands just stand still and sing their songs.
Boring as feck when you compare them to bands like The Doors, Pearl Jam, Nirvana etc.

I've been to a few that make an effort, the best probably being foo fighters. Exciting live shows do tend to be the exception though.

Do yourselves a favour and go see The Flaming Lips next time they're round your neck of the woods

Trust me on this

Anyone off to Reading festival this year? Think i will, the Download line-up looks poor. Never been a major fan of the enormity of Glastonbury. Although Reading is fast becoming just as big.

They're not the most amazing band I must admit, nothing more than decent. It doesn't seem to matter when you see em live though
