Cue lots of spouting by the British press about how great Andy will be.....

He played well, and will do well, but I expect our retarded to press to go over the top tomorrow.

woohoo! Scotlands best tennis player kicked Henman's ass twice and now he beats the world number one

i love tennis and i think the lad will be better than henman and rusedski.

i hope he wins wimbledon one day :)

I think he is already better than them ;)

Now he has his new coach the future looks bright for our Andy

Murray is a lot like Arsenal FC.

When everything is going well, they're great, when everything is going bad they're pussys

I've seen the match

great game by Murray, but Federer looked a bit tired
nevertheless, huge success, to stop Federer after 55 victories in a row on a hard surface
I wish Murray to reach the final, and then to lose to Novak Đoković :)
The two of them will be among the top ten in less than a year
btw, how old is Murray? Novak was born in 1987
P.S. if both Murray and Roddick go through the 1/4 final, it'll be a hell of a match

Murray is only 19. This is his scond tournament with his new coach and he reached the semi finals last week in Toronto. If he continues like this i think your right. He will be in the top 10 in no time. Novak i havent heard too much about but he must be a good player ;)

Novak won his first tournament a couple of weeks ago and reached the final in the next one. They (the tournaments) were not as strong as Cincinnatti, but Murray and Novak (along with Nadal) will surely dominate in the following years. I've heard of Murray before, but have never watched him playing until tonight. Can't wait for them to play against each other ;)

Novak is a great guy, always ready to make jokes

I don't want to bother you, but I just have to tell you this

You know that Nadal has trainers with words 'Vamos Nadal' on them. A month or two ago, Novak played against Nadal, and he took a marker and wrote 'Vamos Nole' (that's his nickname) on his own trainers :D

Also, in his last tournament he had to retire because he was exhausted and couldn't finish the match. In his speech after the match, he said that the other player had payed him some money to retire.

I hope I didn't bother you too much :)

haha i'm beginning to like this Novak guy already :D i really do hope him and Andy meet in this tournament because it will surely be a great match with 2 of the best young players in the world. Good luck to your man ;)

I think they said the Win might breaj him into the Top 10, or was that 15 on Five Live.

Currently 21 as of Mon 14th Aug

Now Federer has more time to prepare for the US-Open. Obviously was tired. But he's only the 2nd player to beat Federer this year, well done. Could have the same impact as when Federer beat Sampras when he was about 20 years old.

hehe that didn't take too long. so is it Murray Hill now for next year?

It seems that Gilbert is doing a very good job pretty fast.

But this is still just an exception. Just bad day for Federer.
