Muntari + Sessegnon to Sunderland

Yup, will improve their midfield greatly. I've heard good things about Sessegnon.

very interesting by bruce. IMO a statement of intent by sunderland. Hope bruce gets them integrated well and they do some damage (except against us...hope they are utter shit then).

They should prove to be very good signings. Bruce is a shrewd buyer.

Yup thought they needed to bring in a couple fresh faces, their midfield has had a few poor games in recent weeks with players like Richardson and Meyler.

That's quite a team Brucie is putting together. In terms of their midfield and attack they have some depth.

His record in the transfer market at Birmingham, Wigan and now Sunderland is terrific; he's constantly managed to get players to come to teams that many would think are beneath them. Look at Muntari for example, he played an important role in winning the treble for Inter last year and now he's agreed to come on loan to unfashionable Sunderland.

I've watched them quite a bit this year and they keep the ball on the ground and use the whole width of the pitch, it's obvious that he's trying to emulate the style of SAF's teams. There are strong rumours that Niall Quinn is putting together a long-term deal for Bruce in recognition of the terrific job he's doing there, bully for him I say.

Not gonna post it but there is a video of Sessegnon doing a few stepovers and sending the guy the wrong way so completely he breaks his leg turning to try keep up

edit
actually:

say what ?

Agree 100%, with the backing Sunderland are giving him, you can see what he's trying to do. He obviously took to heart a lot of what he took from Fergie.

Great deals. Good manager is brucey. Sunderland play some good football when on form as well.

One can say a lot about Brucie - but apart from a certain french guy in London - there aren't that many better in the transfer market than him.

And selling Bent could prove to be a masterstroke - he hasn't played well for them this season anyway. Now he has money to bring in a few players more - and Sunderland are pretty close to having a very good squad now!

Sessegnon looked destined to be a top player a few seasons ago. I've not really kept up with him in recent times but I can remember reading about him having falling outs off the pitch so it would seem his development hit a snag. But if he can get back to playing as he did a few seasons ago he could become one of the best midfielders outside the top 4.
