Mudvayne

Spammy you listen to Non-Point? I've heard some of their singles (Mindtrip, Bullet with a Name, What a Day) and really liked them but haven't heard any of their complete albums.

Only heard the odd song by them. I can never understand what the feck the guy's saying. And I hate it when I can't sing along to a song.

Mudvayne are ok, Dig is a good song. I also like Happy, Not Falling and -1

Union Underground were good, never hear about them though. Turn me on Mr Deadman - great song. I like Nonpoint too.
Some more bands worth checking out are No One, Dry Kill Logic, Hellyeah, Dope, Brand New Sin, East West, Lollipop Lust Kill, Stereomud, 3rd Strike

Not sure what this thread is about, Mudvayne released a new album 2 years ago and are almost finished on another. They're still going strong. My old flat mate knows their ex-bassist, Chris quite well. If you like Mudvayne, you will like HellYeah, as adi said. Kud is the vocalist for them as well.

The Union Underground had potential, then they released An Education in Rebellion which was good but by no means great. Technically quite a simple album

Threat Signal are going to dominate the Metal scene in the next few years anyway. The new Machine Head

no but i'll look into them, any songs you recommend?

Well it was a song called 'Rational Eyes' that really got them noticed on the metal scene. If you can find it then I would definitely recommend giving it a listen.

But from their album, Under Reprisal? Haunting, Faceless, One Last Breath, As I Destruct...take your pick the whole album is great.

Didn't know they were doing another album. Lost and Found was too commercial for my liking.

Heard of them but never heard anything by them. What kind?

Sort of avante-garde/post metal. Progressive, melodic and heavy, right up my street basically. Not all about fast tempo head banging, very very atmospheric.

See also: Red Sparowes, Cult of Luna, Blood and Time and pretty much everything from Neurot Records.

Neurosis - A Sun That Never Sets (pretty hard to find a video of Neurosis on YouTube)

Cult of Luna are an amazing band, better than Neurosis and Isis for my money

I put 5 krugerrands on Cult of Luna being > Neurosis/Isis

downloaded a few, they were ok but not really my cup of tea

I think Neurosis and Isis are unbelievable bands, and they deserve much credit for developing the genre. But Cult of Luna are my favourite band ever and I don't think anything rivals 'The Beyond', and only Panopticon rivals their other albums which are also amazing. I'm keeping the Krugerrands :smirk:
