I am bored of the normal ones so, I am planning to buy one of these three now.

Which one is better?Which one has a better games collections? Basically which should I buy? I am inclining towards Xbox Kinect.

Also had a thought that instead of putting calories by sitting on the couch wwhile playing might as well have fun and burn some.;)

It's depends really, if you have an Xbox or PS3 then you may as well get the Kinect or Move. Otherwise maybe pick up a cheap second hand Wii. It really depends on the games you want to play. Obviously Nintendo will have the likes of Zelda, Mario etc.

I have both the X Box (not 360) and PS3 but not in the same city. I have hardy used my X box in 2 years now.

Also I am not that interested in Mario and Zelda type of games. More of Sports, dancing, exercise etc.

I suppose in that case the Wii seems a good option. You can buy a second hand one on the cheap and it has a much bigger game library. If you are not interested in Zelda because you haven't played it then I would strongly recommend that you do.

Cold boy, if it was me, I'd buy a kinect mainly due to the game Ryse, it's not out yet, end of year, maybe spring 13. But it's looking ruddy brilliant.

I have both - save your money and don't bother. Nowhere near enough decent games to bother with - although Mass Effect 3 is very good with Kinect.

First thing is say is are you actually going to use it? I've got a Wii and kinect and at the moment both are collecting dust. I got a Wii ages ago and used it abit my girlfriend used it more than me. We got kniect last summer and I played adventures once then ufc trainer for a while bow it just sits looking down forlornly in front of the tv

You'll get bored of it very quickly then. And dancing, really?

I have the move and I've used it once. It is a waste of money.

Haha not dancing really but giving an example that I interested more in the story less more movement type of games.
I would say there are many of the type of game your looking for then. It's more "fun" party games. Though I did see a trailer for some sort of warrior esc game that looked ok. The star wars game looked awfull on first viewing.

Right so I am going to buy in a couple of hours , more inclined towards the XBOX 360 kinect as I can just get the move any time really.

Not a fan of Wii tbh as it only has motion games.

Do you know how you are going to use the Kinect?

The market for games on Kinect and Move is really poor so for me it's a bit of money wasted if that's the main purpose for it. Unless you have children that is which you don't.

Actually I can play normal games on the Xbox too.

I have a PS3 at my parents place.

I'm confused.

Did I say I never want to play games on the controllers?

Having an option of normal games is better than not having it.

You strongly hinted that the main reason for the console was motion control. You mentioned in the post above about burning calories, then you posted the highlight part below about dancing and excercise. That's why I was confused that you ruled out the Wii for being motion only.

I got the Xbox 360 plus Kinect.

But could not switch it on yet because of the stupid plug they have given ffs!

Will have to buy a converter.
