What do you think of Diego Forlan now you daytripping, rush to judgement BASTARDS !

I think from day one his link up play has been good, and to me he has always had skills that add to the squad.

He's had to play the lone striker recently and clearly that's not what he's about.

Interesting that the Villa game up to his goal was probably the worst he has ever played for us. Dans tells me that he is praying these goals are the turning point.

Indeed - as my man Diego prooves them all wrong. What a feckin goal ! I mean WHAT A FECKIN GOAL ! And then when he continued on without his shirt It just summed up his desire to a T.

So GigsysGirl, what about THAT for a finish ? ;)

Well Dans prays to Satan so it's no good ;)

The lad has kept at it & deserves the applause....hope we soon find the best, regular, spot for him & not leave him as a utility player..well done Diego!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Satan = The Devil no? It worked today ;) Satan must be a red then.

i think i have to agree with arnie sidewhatever
that forlan since he came has played well but hasn't hit the net so now that he is doing both he could be quite a player for us.

:D

I have never slaughtered Forlan. I have, though, said that Veron PROBABLY is signing not worth it's weight in money.

To slaughter Forlan would be to jump to conclusions. It's fair to say he hasn't been an instant success, in the same manner that Veron hasn't that either.

But to say Forlan now is a great signing is ALSO to jump to conclusions. I say this is an interesting AND LONG AWAITED turn of events.

Let's give the kid this year to show what he has in store. THEN we can dish out the verdicts.

you pathetic little dipper.. can't even cherish the moment.. leave the forum man.. you're not big enough to be a united fan..

i know it's not a good win.. but for forlan to score is a big step for all of us.. you better appreciate it as much as we all do.. or seriously, go get a feckin life.

Sorry to be so late joining the party had to wait for the wife to get off the phone to her sister two fecking hours, Jesus! What a screamer from Diego but the boy's gonna have to learn to put his shirt back on, look at him tracking back and getting that tackle in without his shirt on, fantastic.

DI-E-GO DI-E-GO DI-E-GO DI-E-GO DI-E-GO DI-E-GO
:D :D :D :D :D

My sentiments exaclty. It shows his passion. How many players would show that sort of commitment and risk being booked for the sake of making a tackle. I'd say much of that tackle was sheer adrenaline ! When the goal went in I went flippin MAD ! Nearly lost my voice :)

From a Pool fan, congratulations to Forlan. He seems to have found something of a scoring streak.

Also as a Pool fan, I hope he continues this streak for at least another 3 or 4 games thus convincing Fergie that he really doesn't need to go out and buy a Schevchenko in January. I mean why would you need a(nother) really overpriced player when you have Forlan scoring for fun at the moment. ;)

Its just like when you Utd fans wished Houllier would stick with Heskey (who I don't rate as anything more than average) after his first very good season for us.

Now that he's scored 3 goals, I think he'll be easier to sell in the summer.
:D

ok lets call a spade a spade. Well done to Diego, lovely goal at a time it was badly needed BUT....lets not go calling him a superstar just yet! I said from day 1 he has potential, bags of it if he can find his feet, i dont think he will ever be a prolific goal scorer and i still think he looks more like a winger to me.

He hs only scored 3 goals, one of them a pen so lets see what happens in the future, lets hope he can keep up the scoring ways though!

btw that run without the shirt was priceless, second best moment of the game!

From day one I said he need time to settle and has the chance to come good for us eventually. Consider the time needed for Veron, now Forlan starts to come good in less than one year here so it's definitely a very good progress from him. Surely all of us support him to come good, and hope he can keep it up!

Tracking back to tackle while trying to put on his shirt - CLASS!

Can we sing another song besides that slightly gay sounding D-I-E-G-O?

Maybe it wasn't you and it was Giggs Girl - the one now residing in Japan.

Kinkymelinky, you really are a little slow to catch on, aren`t you?

Try to get posters` names correct, if that does not tax your intellect too much.

Try not to wet your pants too much and read a recent thread on this forum. If you look at previous threads about Diego`s equaliser from the first game he scored in, you will find a response from me there. That is, if you can read properly. Somehow I don`t think so as in previous contributions to this forum you managed to completely overlook the fact that I said some good things about Diego.

Just because I don`t have a puppyish enthusiasm about certain players does not add up to disliking them or seeing no merit in them. However, howling `I told you so,` etc, etc does not really cut it.

I am very happy Diego has scored twice and I hope he can go on to cement a place in the first team -as I said in a previous thread. But it is always a long, hard haul from a couple of goals, crucial as they are, to a consistent performance. I could reel off a list of names of previous Manchester United players who scored goals, including crucial goals, but in the long run did not prove to be up to the task of being consistent performers.

But really, if you want to make credible points you have to READ what other posters write - not demonstrate how inadequate are your skills in this area.

:p :p :p :p

Look whos talking you have just rushed to judgement saying he is quality when hes only scored 3 goals in 30 games I think!!! Whos rushing to judge now!!!

yeah Kinky
I'm starting to eat my words !
But honestly I'm happy for him & for us.

This thread is hillarious. Very interesting responses from a certain portion of posters. I never mentioned names with regards to who I had in mind as "Rush to Judgement" united fans, but funnily enough, without having to mention names I had a barage of posters considering my comments were aimed at them :) Would I ever do such a thing

Stick come on man - I am hardly rushing to judgement. It has been my opinion since I first saw him play that he is quality. The weekend's goal and his general play / enthuiasm finally publically highlighted / affirmed my original beliefs.

Hardly a rush to judgement

He has still scored less goals then heskey lets not get to excited!!!! More then diouf though :D

giggsgirl why Oh why Oh why do you have to constantly harp on about "intelligence" and related issues when you get angry. I mean I know what sort of tone your mail is going to have before you even send it. Is this something you have noticed about your posts ? It's not just in response to me, it seems that anytime anyone pisses you off you go on this rash tangent that includes digs at lack of intelligence, spelling and every other form of mental inability goodness knows.

I'm just interested to know if this is something you do in order to elevate yourself, or maybe you just like Phychology or however you spell that really long word.

I guess it's one of those come-backs that's great the first time, but after it's 500th reappearance it becomes tired and predictable.

Just wondering :)

You're making yourself look a dick now Twinky.

Actually liked to see forlan scoring he puts so much effort into his celebrations unlike Shearer who may score loadsa goals but does the same boring shite thing every time.
