Mr Ferguson needs to wield his axe

Giggs, P. Neville, and Forlan should go.
Blanc needs to step aside for O'Shea.
The rest of the manure that was on the field last night need to take a paycut.

I think Forlan should be given a chance, or at least more than 10 minutes a match before we make a decision about him.

Forlan has been playing regularly in the reserves and hasnt exactly set the place alight.
i hate to say it but as a striker hes not good enough, not by a long shot. As a backup winger maybe but no more than that. He tries hard though, bless him.
we definately paid over the odds for him.
i just hope Fergie brings in the likes of Malcolm Christie in January who would score goals, given the chances.

bonkers....we lost a game so lets sack people

Why don't we sack SAF for spending millions on Diego and then refusing to play him....

Only sensible thing here is Giggs....lets face it the world knows how he plays now, still hasn't got two feet and still dribbles down blind alleys

A few games on the bench will do Giggs the world of good.

A few years more like. Of course Mikey did not help last night.

Phil Nev - please f*** off.

He's rapidly getting old, wingers don't last well.

We don't need to sack anyone, but kicking them up the arse might not be a bad idea.
The last thing the team needs is more reshuffling.

That Brendan Shine lad is a complete muppet so I wouldn't pay too much attention to what he spouts on about. He rubs salt in a wound and leaves only to come back a few hours later and laugh at what he has begun. He's scum as far as I'm concerned.

Now, regarding Forlan. I am going to defend him based on comments made above. It has been said that he isn't exactly setting the reserve team alight with goals. Would it make sense to bear in mind, however, that the supply from midfield to front on the reserves isn't exactly a spark to set Forlan alight to begin with ? If so it nulifys the idea that one can compare a performance on the reserves with a performance on the first team. I remember Phil Nevilles performances on the reserves were impecable. There was a goal he scored that would have made Maradonna proud in 1986, but do you see him setting the first team alight ? In the same way a direct comparison can not be made whatever way you look at it.

Secondly, if you were to add Forlan's minutes played and divide by 90 you would get roughly 6.5. This, for those who are not maths orientated, is the number of full games Forlan has played.

Forlan is quick, he's a good passer, very good mover and needs a goal - simple. He is a damn site more eager than the likes of Giggs (who I have been very disappointed with over the past 3 seasons) and I am telling you now that it was NOT a waste of money. You will see my friends, you will see.

give the lad a start, we could do with something different right now. give him a few full games and show him you have confidence in him mr red nose sir

Beckham can go. He is definitely living off reputation, and he's one of the few players in the world that will still sell for big big money. We'd make a packet.

I like the idea of Manchester United being a team of supporters as well as players.

If we sell off players like Beckham, you'd sell some of the soul.

Maybe that's why I'm no good at business - too sentimental. But there's something special about a team that has players in it who love the club, rather than a team of big names who are as much glory-seekers as some of the people in the stands.

Fair point. But if he isn't performing he should go, whether the fans like him or not. Before Sir Alec wouldn't shirk away from a decision like this. He's given Becks a few warnings already.

Becks got Man of the Match last night, and was singled out by Keane last season as being beyond criticism. He also scored more goals than ever before last season. What are you on about?

lets sell giggs! I mean, every bloody team we've ever played the last 10 years has doubled marked him for nothing..........

to get rid of giggs would be madness imo, I still cant think of any other left winger at the moment who is playing well!

the fact is that in today's game rarely do you win matches through the wings.

lets sell becks, giggs, keane and scholes... oh yeah, and Butt (who was the man of the match IMO!!!)

we''ll keep Veron though....

;)

Maybe not quite yet, but he's not far off. I'd love us to sign Duff, if only to give Giggsy the kick in the backside he needs to get playing to his best again. I think Duff could really give us the spark we've been missing lately, he's been in superb form this season already, so he's proving somewhat more consistent than Giggs and some of the other big rep players we have.
We shouldn't sell Giggs or Becks, that's crazy, but they could use a little help right now, especially with Keano and Scholes out.

There isn't a club in the world that wouldn't start Giggs. If Giggs is an average player, then I wish SAF would start buying average players like Giggs and stop buying world class players like Veron.

You don't lose because of Giggs, but you win becuase of him. He's the type a player, like Beckham, who makes a difference in a match

i feel a bit sorry for fergie - he has tried to buy a player that can 'spark' up a game with a bit of skill, thats what he bought veron for, thats why he tried to sign d'canio, thats why he's still looking for that special player that can open things up.

I hope he finds him.

soon.

I agree mate totally "giggs" is not performing to his best ability.
And I thought becks looked jaded, anyway we`ve
been here before as a team backs against the wall.
And we always bounce back so look out someone is
gonna kop it,as soon as were injury free again

;)

After we lost to Real Madrid in the QF of 2000,I said we need to improve at the FB position. Iwrin was getting on and past his best. Gary Neville is not a class FB. ( I'd sooner see him at CB).

So what improvement has SAF made. Improve down the middle. Where has that gotten us. Nowhere. We already had/have Keane, Scholes and Butt to play there in MF. Beckham wants to play there. So why bring in another CM?

At striker, we had Cole, Yorke, OGS and Sheringham. So SAF brings in RVN. Great buy it turns out. If the mean time, Sheringham leaves on a free. Okay, you have RVN as his replacement. Cole leaves and Nogoals is stollen at the last minute from the clutches of Steve McClaren for the sum of 7.5 million pounds! Then disco Dwight is driven out of Manchester night club scene. The night life in Blackburn will change forever. When is SAF going to buy his replacement?

Here here,WHEN we do get it together someone will kop( ;) ) for a 6 or 7 nil thrashing

we did play a fairly decent first half against leeds and were a bit unlucky not to get a goal, we desperately need to win the next match though another loss or draw is going to leave us in dire shape and under a lot of pressure.
