since 1985 semi IMO..

i know we beat them in the FA Cup final n'all...but this feels better, maybe coz we've lost five in a row to them, and we had a make shift team today... in addition it was at Unfilled, unlike our 3-1 truimph in 89. Oh and the fact that we're not head and shoulders above the competition makes victory more sweeter.. some times losing is healthy it makes the good times feel even better!!

great stuff!

for me, my favourite wins against the dippers are:

1)FA Cup final 96 - Eric scoring in the 85th min or so, giving them no chance to fight back, and witnessing the looks on McAteer,Rush etc.. classic

:D :D :D

2)FA Cup 3rd round 98/99 - trailing to a early goal by the midget, and chasing the game until the 88th min or so, we get 2 in 2 minutes, as we let them think they are winning, before snatching victory back. another classic

:D :D

3)EPL 02/03 "The Dudek Show" - feels good to get one up on them after suffering 5 straight losses, and it's at Unfilled somemore.

:D

does anybody can describe me in short the atmosphere in Anfield today especially after the final whistle?

er... some one must know.

who the feck went to Anfield????
.....

for me:

1.1985 fa cup, semi replay.

2.2002/3

3.1989 3-1

4.1996 fa final

all the greek press talked about an easy afternoon for looneypool and they called us ""customers" its an idiom that they use here for the loosers.I m so excited for the afternoon result!

got to go for the two FA cup victories. 96 final and 99 3rd round.

yes but we had a disadvantage with them because the last 5 matches. But today god woke up as a mancunian!!!!!!!

Todays victory was the sweetest for a long time.
since the early 90's weve been "expected" to beat Pool, anything less a failure and a victory was just a job done.
Today was different, a loss would have been just another in a long line and ppl were genuinely afraid to hope for too much. For the 1st time in 10 or 15 odd yrs we were the underdogs, we came out fighting and grabbed a memorable win.
Diego Forlan, i thank you for that <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

Agree. After last five defeat, it's the most sweet moment for us, especially when we did it on their own home soil. Earlier when people asked to predict the outcome of the next three important matches, I said if we won one of them I hope it's the Livershite. Now all of you also felt this sweet and brilliant feeling. It's better than anything in the world. :D

any victory is always nice when they are aided by hilarious mistakes from them... so that we can laugh at them if not for anything...

David "Calamity" James or Dud Dudek anyone? ;)
