Victor Moses is ready to quit Wigan Athletic this summer, his agent has confirmed.

Wigan have been in talks with the 21-year-old about a contract extension, but Sky Sports understands it falls well short of the Nigeria international's expectations.

Now Moses is looking to the future and his agent Tony Finnigan has confirmed that he is ready to leave the DW Stadium.

"I think what Wigan have done is tremendous and shows it was the right place for him to go after Palace. But now I think Victor is ready for the next step," Finnigan is quoted as saying by The Sun.
Better players

"He still has lots of improving to do in terms of scoring goals more regularly.

"But I think that would come if he was surrounded by better players.

"That's what he wants and is why he won't be extending his contract. I can't see Victor changing his mind."

The likes of Tottenham, Liverpool, Sunderland, Newcastle and QPR are amongst those understood to be ready to make a move for the former Crystal Palace forward, who has enjoyed an excellent run of form in recent weeks.

Worth a punt.

I don't really rate him. He doesn't look talented enough to be worth the extra effort we'd have to make with a player as raw as him.

We don't really have space for him but he's definitely one of those players who'll make the step up imo, would be a good signing for Liverpool or Newcastle

I don't rate him. Not good enough for us anyway.

With the right club he could go on to be a very very good player. He's easily one of those that could end up like Wayne Routledge though.

He should not leave yet - he needs too be a bit more consistent, but im definitely a big fan of him and he makes things happen.

Great counter attacking player, and can carry the ball forward very well.

Would certainly take him if squad space / money was not an issue.

Hes a player who could turn out very well.

As others have said, Everton, Tottenham, Newcastle standard player.

He'd be perfect for Liverpool or Everton. Even Newcastle - someone not quite in the top four to have that extra pressure.

I've tried hard to rate him - I have a mate who's neighbour is a former ST holder and we watched a few games this season and whenever I've seen him i've always had this 'just not quite there' feeling. Sometimes great but sometimes really awful.

It's hard to put into words but I get this feeling of.. 'not naturally gifted' when I watch him. He seems so intense kind of like Valencia. Thats my opinion though.

Moses is a dangerous player. Powerful, pacy and very direct, but imo he lacks awareness and tbh a football brain. He reminds me of the footballing equivalent of a rhino. Can't see him making it at a top club for that reason personally, he just doesn't seem to have anything going on in his brain apart from 'CHARGE!'

He is young and does have time to improve, very good physical attributes, but not a lot of ability there for me to take him to the next level. Be a good impact player for someone though.

The lack of brain may be just because he is surrounded by relatively poor players. Watching Wigan, sometimes his best option looks brainless, ie putting the head down and running. He has gotten better in his time at Wigan and there's no reason he can't continue improving, but it's a risk and probably not one worth taking given the age of our forward players.

I think he is better than Welbeck....go on i've said it!!

Don't forget he is moses...he will have no problems with splitting defences..

Seriously...the few times i have seen him, in particular when he played against us and the Arse he was strong, powerful, quick and had a couple tricks in his locker.

Welbeck, has good movement and link up play is good, for me needs to be more clinical in front of goal!

Palacios, valencia, moses and n´zogbia all have left then, how odes this team manage to run ! feck!

I'd have given him another year with Wigan. He'll get more encouragement to do his thing there than he will at Everton or, God help us, Villa. As has been said, he's been ildly inconsistent this year. Certainly not for us. Who's he getting in ahead of??

Would certainly have him in the team as a game changer IMO.

Maybe not good enough yet from kick off but as a sub he could do wonders.

At the moment I'm not sure he'd get much game time at a bigger/better club than Wigan. Certainly not as much as he's currently getting. I think he'd be better off spending next season at Wigan as well, and then thinking about a move.

Yeah but you also think Shaun Maloney is good enough for us so your opinions don't count.

Learn your religious quotes. "Parting" was the word you were looking for :nono:

He's a talented young player, but he hasn't hit the level I thought he would. I say a move to Spurs would be his best bet. Lennon isn't starting material on a top three team so he has room to grow into that position on the right.

No no! Not United quality and not the type of player we need.

He is exactly the kind of good (but no more) homegrown player that Dalglish is likely to sign.
