Its that time of year again folks! the Mosconi Cup! USA v Europe!

http://www.mosconicup.com/

Sky Sports @ 7pm tonight!

Europe

1.Iceman (Mika Immonen)

2.Napoleon (Markus Chamat)

3.The Hitman (Raj Hundal)

4.The Hitman (Thorsten Hohmann)

5.The Terminator (Niels Feyen)

6. The plague from the hague (Alex Lely)

USA

1.The Scorpion (Johhny Archer)

2.The Rocket (Rodney Morris - one to watch won 89% of matches in mosconi competition)

3.Bubba the love sponge (Shawn Putnam)

4.Double J (Jeremy jones)

5.Earl The Peal (Earl Strickland - good to watch, hes an arrogant cnut)

6.The Dragon (Charlie Williams)

No Nick Ven Der Berg, no Steve Davis no Oliver Ortmann... i think Europe may struggle!

If you are new to this then you must watch it, its a high paced game, alot of skill shots involved! and this year they have a 30second shot clock!!

Earl the Pearl is one fecked up individual...you have to check him out.

Europe lead 2-0!

Hohmann and Feyen beat Archer and Jones (doubles)

Immonen beat Archer (singles)

As for Strickland, he is deiffinatly a charachter.

If I remember correctly Charlie Wiliams is a cockey little twat.

And doing pretty well....25 years after winning this same trophy:cool:

no Van der Berg or Davis? oh dear...

i hope to hell that earl the grey doesn't have any more reasons to be a more arrogant cnut though

Well with day one out the way - USA have alot to sleep on, coming from 2 game points behind to finish @3-2. The end of the show finished with a very frustrated Earl "The Pearl" Strickland slagging off european fans, and eventually blowing his top, swearing at some lady in the crowd - You know you will always get entertainment with him....what a cock.

Be sure to tune in tonight 7pm Sky Sports Extra. Earl is not going to be a happy bunny.

are the pockets on american pool tables larger than uk ones? seems you can miss the pocket by a mile and it will still drop in. its obviously why all these USA cnuts aren't playing snooker, which is where all the talented players are.

9-Ball still has a certain amount of skill, to be able to keep control of the white!!!

Is this considered some sort of a 'World Cup' of sorts?

If so, then why aren't the Asians in it?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe many of the best players in the world these past couple of years are either from Taiwan or the Philippines so the Mosconi Cup doesn't represent the world's best talents on display.

It would be nice to see the Mosconi Cup extended to include an Asian team or at least have a similiar tourney to be all inclusive.

Yeah, more like the Ryder cup, but I agree the likes of Bustamante, Reyes, Wu and all the other asians are by far the better players, to play and to watch :)
