Montoya dropped from McLaren!

Running into the back of his team-mate Raikkonen on the opening lap of the US Grand Prix was a hell of a way to bow out of F1.

Money my friend. I'm 99% certain mclaren's deal to alonso was worth a shitload more than renault's.

That said, on the topic of JPM, he's going to do very well in nascar. He's an agressive driver who doesn't mind 'swapping paint' as they say in racing circles. He'll bed in well with the nascar racing style and after a year, really challenge for the championship spot.
 
Mclaren next year will probably be alonso and lewis hamilton. I'd like kimi to go to renault but i think renault will run with fisichella and heikki kovaleinin...which isn't too shabby. The problem with renault is that they'll have to switch to bridgestone's next year so that transition should be interesting. I can't see where kimi's going to race if MS decides to stay at ferrari (which he should..he's doing well and they have the advantage next year of keeping the bridgestones).
 
Kimi alongside Schumi in a ferrari would be one amazing partnership but i don't reckon they he will allow it. Bet Renault will move for him because Fisi and Kovellianen is strong enough for them.
Paffett must have a decent shot at the Mclaren seat, he'll almost certainly race for them later this season. Dennis talks of putting Hamilton in a race seat somewhere else next season but his options are surely running out as to which teams so i find it concievable he will be thrown in at the deep end.
