The story of the great Khan.

It just came out yesty, am dead keen on seeing it. Apparently it's awsome.

ALL the fight scenes are acted, and there was no CGI used - in that every single soldier is an extra. The movie is subtitled though.

Anyhow, I'm super uber excited about this one.

I also want to see this. I'm a bit of a history buff and love reading about everything from Persia to Macedonia, Rome to Byzantium and Atilla to Genghis. Wish they could have made a movie on Atilla mind, I've spent literally days reading up on the battle of Catalaunian fields.

I admit it, it's one of my geekier sides

There is one with Gerrard Butler, decent for the small budget they must have had

Gerrard Butler in Atilla the Hun? You have to be kidding.

Isn't he one of those twats that does those pissy chick flicks?

No, Butler is great. He was also in 300.

Forgot to say I saw it shortly after it came out.

I'm assuming they've taken a few liberties throughout, but still, it was rather good in all. Very good visually and the fight scenes were superb. The only downside for mine was that it was specifically a story of his childhood and how he became the great Khan.

But word on the street is it's a trilogy, so I'm assuming the next one's about his conquest of China and the third being his Arabic/European campaign. Cannot wait for those.
