I would appreciate if one of you could cast your eye over Slabber's contributions to the thread entitlied "Slabber wants to kill kids"

I am certainly in favour of a bit of piss taking on this forum but believe that his comments addressed to me are now going too far.

Whether the guy is speaking in jest or not - frankly I do not care. Any poster with kids would surely be offended in the extreme by what he is saying.

Your take on this would be most welcome. If any of you are indeed parents I believe your only correct course of action would be to ban him. He is infact supposed to be in "voluntary exile" - My suggestion would be to make that involuntary.

For the record this is the first time in over 2 years on the forum that I have remotely wanted to see someone banned. I have to say that I have a very very strong feeling that his commentes are so inapropriate that he should take no further part in Redcafe. I also would be interested to hear the views of fellow fathers such as Mr Bluck.

Anyway I await your comments with interest.

Give some examples of these comments as i couldnt be arsd trawling through it.
 
He pretty much said the same as he said to Redjoe

You know - the wishing death on someone's kids line..

Slabber then went even further and quite honestly I don't want to have to type what was said.

Mods - your feedback on this one would be appreciated - imparticular because this forum does from time to time appear pretty politically correct in some quarters - you know when issues such as race and religion are mentioned - yet these sick comments about othere members' children seem to be accepted as a bit of frivolous fun.

Mods - I await some constructive feedback
 
We're trying to avoid stepping into the whole undignified mess in the vain hope that it will all blow over, something you should have done if you didn't want to receive the same sort of tongue in cheek abuse Slabber has been dishing out to anyone else who has crossed him in both that thread and Charlie's attempt to stir the same crock of shit.

My personal opinion:

Redjoe is a contemptible racist scumbag who walks a similarly fine line to the one redeus eventually fell off, as such he is just below meriting a ban but IMO fair game for any personal abuse his evil bile inspires in people. The caff would be better off without him and his ilk.

Slabber is a laugh but goes a bit too far at times, the caff would be worse off without him.

Those offended by Slabber need to grow a thicker skin. His insults, while offensive out of context, are generally delivered in a tongue in cheek fashion. The caff would be a damned site easier to mod if you lot would just grow up.

Honestly, this place is like a school playground at times and I have neither the time nor patience to sort out all your petty squabbles.

Bury - to be honest that isn't really good enough

I have thicker skin than most and live in a part of the world where if you can't take some serious pisstake then you should just leave.

However whether in jest or not , the comments made specifically to myself went beyond what is acceptable.

Yes I am and barely a week goes by when she doesn't do something that makes me contemplate killing her myself, I'll usually voice it to her too quite often including the gory details and she knows it's tongue in cheek. If a 14 year old schoolgirl can understand the concept of black humour, why do some of our older, allegedly more mature posters not get it.

Why did you feel the need to get involved in what was an argument between two posters you don't know from Adam? I'm sorry, but any injuries sustained in so doing are merely collateral damage and could have been avoided by you not getting involved, if Slabber offends you so much stick him on ignore.

He's a cnut who gets away with murder on the board because he's remotely amusing at times.

Like his Matthew Harding jokes.

If I made jokes like that about Munich would I be banned? Too fecking right, and probably not undeservedly.

Yet he gets away with it every single time. "Tongue in cheek" eh.

You do make a good point Bury. Admittedly , in hindsight, I do regret to be honest getting involved in the Redjoe thread.

That doesn't alter the fact that Slabber is bang out of order
 
Personally, I can't understand why people take Slabber's insults so seriously. Perhaps he gets a bit personal every now and then, but really, I don't think they're meant to be taken literally.

As for redjoe, he's a racist cnut, if ever there was one. What he said about Muslims was inexcusable. I can't understand why he's still around, but I'm with Slabber on this one.

Never had a problem with Slabber to be honest, and I've been on the recieving end of his "Black" humour. He's a decent fella and everyone should lighten up a bit.

Would you take offence if a fellow Manchester United fan , even in jest ..
wished your chidren were dead...and then followed it up with a suggestion that you shag your own child?

Unfortunately and inexplicably I find myself in a minority of one who finds this unacceptable.

I think you brought it upon yourself when you posted in that thread.You should've just let them bicker on.Instead you gave redjoe exactly what he wanted, a reaction.

His second comment to you was a direct response and even though I agree that he went over the top a bit, I'd just say you asked for it.

You shouldn't have opened a new thread about the whole mess again...that just further made the situation even more idiotic.

I'd say just drop it now, put him on your ignore list, and get on with it.Crying won't earn you brownie points on an internet forum

Or just PM each other..and then post them here.;)

Flash tried it with me a while back but he meant it more than slabbs did, he was raging and in one of his fits he let it all out.
Slabber doesnt genuinely mean it.

I guess I'm genuinely confused and surprised that a forum with rather unhealthy levels of political correctness about certain issues is so relaxed about the comments I have found offensive.

How do you know he meant it and Slabber didn't?Its a bit of a sticky situation there...I mean..anyone wanting anyone's loved ones dead has GOT to be fecked up in the head.I doubt either Slabs or Flash really meant it other than to hurt the other person...

Actually I don't see the point of an insult like that.
