Great effort. The atmosphere must be cracking over there.

Those are some good ass seats for a World Cup game.

Yeah the seats were ridiculously good, and there were a few empty ones near us too. I think it was something like 3k under capacity. I went and sat (stood) behind the goal for a bit of the first half too. It was also very unsegregated, which wasn't a problem in this game (unless you really hate italians) but it'll be interesting to see if that's the case for other games/stadiums. There was a general feeling of disorganisation at this one, which is understandable since it was only really finished the day before.

Nice one. Hope there'll be a few more of these videos for the other England games. I've got one recommendation for the next one though. You can't just say there's lots of fit women, there needs to be actual video proof! ;)

Also interview a few of the aforementioned fit women? Maybe even the locals too?

I guess thats gonna be the case for Manaus stadium since its the less populated city. I myself am planning to be in Rio by the Round of 16, how's the situation there for ticketless people? Are the touts really bad?

It'll be much easier to do that kind of stuff in Rio & Sao Paulo. There wasn't much going on in Manaus, and our hotel was miles out in the styx so even if there was it was a pain to get to.

My SD card's playing up so I might have to film some stuff on the phone. That said, I'm still using the camera FootballFancast got me for 2010, and mt phone's likely a superior camera by now!

A tidbit I forgot to include: The band weren't let in. Or perhaps were eaten on the way to the ground. Either is fine with me. Though for all their annoyance, there was a noticeable flag in the last 15 minutes without them.

There are definitely tickets floating around. Depends who you get them off. At the England game a guy I met was flogging them for 200 a piece. But I've heard you can get some games for very cheap (Iran-Bosnia for example is going for as low 10/20 according to the grapevine)

Round of 16 will be pricer, but they'll be available.

They mentioned on the United Rant World Cup preview the band have been banned, so it looks like they won't be at any games.

Interesting. By who? Presumably the FA cos it'd be a bit rich of the brazilians. They're partying with drums and trumpets until 5 every morning here. Well they're all still here, with their instruments an shit. I assume they've got tickets but can't get their trumpets inside (oo err) & will play in the pubs and squares beforehand instead. Be interesting how they enforce that, considering other countries (particularly the fecking hosts!) get to bring drums and all sorts in. Presumably it's just a gentleman's agreement? I'll try and ask when I next see them.

1:03:20 in: They said the band aren't going and 'it looks like FIFA have banned the band'.

Anyone in your group need two cat1s for the CRC-game? Face value of course. Will be at the game myself so could deal face-to-face.

My group are...erm...a group, so they're sorted, but I'm meeting some mates from the Euros in Sao Paolo and Belo Horizonte, so I'll ask.

Thanks no worries. I can sell through FIFA easily as well but lose 10% then.

Excellent report, your a lot posher than imagined, poshney. Hope you keep them coming, it's inspiring me towards a proper Northern version in 4 years.

I fluctuate. I thought I sounded quite posh too as it happens. That's about 70% accurate I'd say. I'm usually slighty more try hard MLE.

FullTimeDevils have done a "northern" one, but (IMO) they've committed the cardinal sin of over-documenting the travelling. No one really wants to see that. Unless you're going by rocket car. Or hot air balloon. Or you crash.

The sofa might be tricky, but the rest of it seems doable. It's at the top of a ski lift you know? A fecking ski lift!

Nice clip, Mockney. Are you going to all the group stage games? Enjoy your time over there, man.

I love Mockney.

They are hard to listen to that Full Time Devils bunch. Are any of those lads from the Caf?

Dunno. I'm sure some of them are. I spoke to someone off it about doing some stuff a while back, but it wasn't really my cup of tea and they were looking mostly for Mancs so it never came to anything. The guy doing theirs seems likeable, which is the first hurdle, but my preference for these kind of things is as little "guy talking to a camera" as possible.

Lmao, you love the birds - no one will doubt that

As thread maker of the World Cup Babes thread, I feel it's my responsibility to update you lads with the finest foreign fans Brazil will see in the next month.

Anyone that can afford a full bucket of tripe is alright in my book.
Looking forward to the Urugauy game and the vid, you jammy git.
