Mo Salah

Plain and simple, we have to hope he’s a one season wonder. Fortunately Liverpool have had several of those, give or take a few months. Here’s hoping.

Liverpool will offer him a new contract this summer. Isn't he on 100k or something. They will push it over 200k.

That's what's annoying. Would be easier if he was a prick.

Does he even dive?

I’ve seen him choose to stay on his feet more often than not, so there isn’t even that. Got no grudge against him at all and it’s disturbing.

He's like Raheem Sterling, except gone right.

Seizes most of his easy chances, otherwise, he'd be on the same number of goals as the other guy.

Of course you could be right but there is too much to his game to believe that he’s a one season wonder. He’s not just taking chances, he’s making them for himself and for others. Furthermore, he had a very good season with Roma too last year so the quality is there.
Having said that, I dont think that he could score 40 plus goals next season but he can still be the player and personally, I’d be thrilled if he got close to 30.

He’s my favourite non-United player, a joy to watch. Always a smile on his face. So annoying it’s a Liverpool player.

I'm sort of willing him to do something scummy; just so I can have a reason to justifiably dislike him.

The reason he didn't score 25/30 goals for Roma last season was down to the AFCON and his poor finishing. You could already see he could become something special if he improved a couple things. That said, he's gone well beyond what anybody could have expected him to become this season

Salah has been extremely clinical this season. Last time I checked, Salah is outperforming his xG by a ridiculous margin (7+ goals). Kane had a similar season last season where got a goal a game, and has dropped to a more sustainable level this season.

I don't think he is a new Ronaldo or Messi level of goalscorer, it's just a really good season from him.

He has a goal every 2 games scoring rate with the NT and the service he gets is just shit. So he is no one season wonder, he just stepped up a gear with Liverpool.

Actually it's other way around, Liverpool plays to his strength, he has least responsibility to defend or track back, is always stationed up with lots of freedom to occupy the space created by Firmino, and whenever Liverpool wins the ball, they try to release Salah as quickly as possible. This season is crazy by every standard but we can expect Salah to hit 30 goals next season with arrival of Keita who is master of turn overs (winning the ball and releasing the player in scoring position before opposition gets time to re-organise) and turn overs/transitions is where Salah excels.

What's more impressive is how spread out his goals, he only scored like one hattrick the whole season.

Outstanding season from this man, and he thoroughly deserves the plaudits coming this way. However, considering that he has never churned out numbers like these before, I'm not sure if he will again. 20+ goals a season player? Definitely. Ronnie/Suarez level? I find that hard to believe when I watch him play. He is just finishing extraordinarily well.

I'm glad he is putting out those numbers when Liverpool aren't exactly winning anything. When Ronnie was doing that, we won the double. Suarez almost got them the title. Salah will have nothing to show for all those goals. (assuming they don't win the CL :nervous:)

Considering Liverpool have got the most generous semi-final you could hope for in the CL, it seems odd that there is more hype and interest in winning the Golden Boot than Champions League.

Expecting Salah to blank in the semi, Liverpool to go out, and for him to win the Golden Boot in the meantime.

His composure in front of goal is unreal. He never falters.

Goes to show how important confidence is in those moments. It's incredible how much has changed in that aspect of his game throughout the years, he used to be the opposite of composed in front of goal.

Anyway, the fact City are about to break the points record and Salah is about to break the goals record reinforces my point that the bottom of the Premier League has been terrible this season. Salah and City have been incredible and they deserve the records but it's a bad sign for the Premier League.

What does his age have to do with it ?
Nothing particularly? I'm just putting into perspective their ages. Career-wise Salah is doing absolutely amazing so far and I wouldn't be surprised to see him being poached by a richer club than Liverpool.

So, he make that 31th goal in a PL season. Match the record of Shearer, CR and Suárez.

One goal more and he will make history.

They have Stoke and Brighton and home, he will smash this record. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him hit 35.

Don't think anyone seen this goalscoring feat from him when he signed. Inspired stuff, unfortunately.

Sickening to see Liverpool with a forward like him.
