I don't even have Neymar in the discussion at this point. Unbelievably reliant on the World Cup.

Messi - 1 Home El Clasico away from being an "invincible" season most likely + cup and a World Cup to come. He's probably top 3 regardless given how shoddy Barca have been at times. Not reasonably sure I see much happening at the WC though, I think he's tired of these teams being built on him.

Ronaldo - Another January onwards supershow....can't see much happening at the World Cup(though said the same about Euros), so he's reliant on the CL, but it's falling in place.

Salah - Absolutely absurd season, done it all year too. Potential for CL upset....AND a pretty favourably Group in the World Cup to lead Egypt to overachieve.

KDB - Potential and probably for an absolutely massive 100pt season in the PL - all sorts of plaudits. Belgium also slightly favourably draw.

Neymar .... PSG probably would of done the same without him. Not entirely sure I have him fifth right now, do lie, they may have not comprehensively smashed the group stages, but either way.
 
Even as a United fan who absolutely can't stand Liverpool, I think it would be an injustice If he wasn't in the top three in the Ballon d'Or this year
 
He's been better than both Messi and Ronaldo this season imo. He should really be winning the Balon d'Or. I guess the World Cup will decide things.

Yeah but we all know how the BDO voting goes, purely political, Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar has the advantage of being Brazilian and reputation while Salah and KDB don't. He 1000% should be, but of course that implies people are going to vote fair, I just think Salah will have to be the best player in the world to influence enough votes to get the nod over Neymar.
 
He’s currently in the top 3 for the ballon d’or. A champions league win,PL Top scorer and a few good games at the WC and he’ll be ahead of ronaldo.

I think what Ronaldo’s done in the last few months is staggering, and more individually influential than salah.
 
He’a definitely top 3 for me unfortunately and big conversation to be had if he leads Liverpool to a better CL finish than Madrid(unlikely obviously)

Ignoring WC here, to put him above Messi, I think Liverpool have to win the CL. Especially if Barca do go undefeated, which is so heavily influenced by Messi. I'm not so sure Mo's influence on Liverpool this year will have been as big despite the goals - they are super fluid as a unit which is a lot down to Klopp - but get to that CL final.....the discussion opens up a bit. Given they are pretty much in equal standing right now - I probably would also have him above Ronaldo....due to the fact Mo has done it all season.

I think KDB needs a really good World Cup really...same with Neymar otherwise your top 3 are as above.

Ballon d'Or could actually be kind of intriguing this year. Given that a Germany or Spain win probably wouldn't propel anyone specific to winning it.
 
Actually thought he was quite uninvolved early on for the most part when City were in control, still got his goal and looked very impressive as the game wore on.
 
Spain will win the World Cup, Madrid will win the CL and Sergio Ramos will get the Ballon d'Or, that's it :P

...asking cuz like Suarez and Coutinho, is Salah a player who’d possibly leave Liverpool for a Barca/Madrid/PSG/Bayern ?
 
If Salah takes Egypt on a decent run in the world cup or if livers win the champs league it would be hard to argue against him getting the ballon d'or.
Good on him for being in this form, everything he touches turns to goals
 
He's blessed by the Egyptian gods. He has all the three cards.
He deserves to be a candidate for Ballon d'Or for sure.
 
I think the big clubs are going to give him another season at Liverpool. If he keeps it up then someone will buy him for 80+ mill euros. Probably Real Madrid.

80+?! Admittedly that includes what I’m about to say but it’s more like 150+. He keeps this level up no way he’s off for less than Coutinho. Even if he drops off a little bit he’s still worth Coutinho money to us.
 
I don't see Salah leaving Liverpool for less than 120/130M even if he is leaving this summer.
 
See if Coutinho goes for 150m how can Salah, who is clearly performing better than Coutinho has ever done, go for less?
 
Yea I agree with the Balon d'or talk here. He should absolutely be in consideration for it. He hasn't just scored goals, he's scored important goals. Makes goal scoring look so simple.
 
Will be £200m at least imo. He does not seem the type to create a fuss about leaving, hope that’s the case if Madrid start sniffing. If we ever want to win a league, then we can’t keep selling our best players everytime it looks like we are getting close.

Keep Salah, get another defender, another midfielder, and a winger who can also play as a forward and we will be close.
