What a joke. LA wins over NE.

LA sucked all year and in the final couple weeks the sqeak into the playoffs and win the final, yesterday.

I will say this, the mls is almost watchable this past year. It might be something worthwhile in 10 or 15 years down the line.

I saw a portion of the game, including the OT. the game didn't look that good to me. I could care less who won but imo the skill level was fairly low. I'm normally a fan of the league but they didnt do themselves any favours yesterday with that showcase.
btw, Paul Mariner - is it the glasses that make his nose look smaller than before. a nose reduction?

it sucked when the metros threw away their first leg victory against NE in the final twenty minutes of their playoff fixture and as such, its a fitting end to see the revs piss away the final...even though i hate LA as well.

one of my best mates is a hardcore revs fan, this will be great to throw in his face.

where are they building the stadium? near ricoh coliseum?
Yup, down on the grounds of the Ex. I imagine it will be where the old Exhibition Stadium was but I haven't seen the plans yet.

wonder how much is the entrance fee then, it's only $10 to watch the Marlies :smirk:

Worst thing about the MLS is the idea to follow American sports and have a post-season playoff. MLS should get away from this and go to a champion based on a whole season. The MLS Cup could then be similar to a domestic league cup.

IF MLS really wants a playoff, pick one team from each conference to play in the cup final. Not this crap with 8 teams in the playoffs. I know they want more games so fans will stay interested in their teams, but come on I doubt the average clueless soccer mom even knows where their local MLS team is in the standings.

MLS will never compare to the Premiership, but supporting your local team and going to the game every other week is fun enough.
