Mixed Martial Arts for kids?

The popularity of UFC and MMA has kids, and parents allowing/encouraging, wanted to join the new sports. Thoughts? I'm not sure about this for young children, though I suppose one could argue against gridiron football and head injuries, hockey and bodily collisions, etc. But having kids spar at age 6? Are we teaching kids to be fighters or are they teaching kids respect and discipline?

mma is pretty safe to spar... its not like its jkd or kali... its a sport... you wear gloves... its pretty sanatised and safe... id encourage my kids to do it... when a bit older then get them to take up jkd
