Midfield creativity

Does the forum think that Utd have shown an increasing tendancy to give the ball to Becks deep and bypass the midfield in favour of hitting the front men early? Our crisp passing game from a couple of years ago has dissapeared, and I'm thinking that this may have something to do with RVN's presence cos he's so good at holding the ball up. It has also occured in recent England encounters to just give the ball to Becks and he'll crack it 50yds from inside his own half to limited sucess....

More a lack of confidence than a change in tactics, but the long ball does seem to be the teams answer to frustrating games more and more often.

Surely it's the lack of not going down the wings. The Everton game was like the old days, as soon as we got on the wings it was chance after chance.
