He has been banned permanently. We checked to make sure his account hadn't been hacked and he has been posting from a single ip for months. After reviewing his last 3 or 4 months worth of posts we are well rid.
From his last few months of posting I'd guess that he has been seeing how far he had to push to get banned. Now he knows.

I very rarely call for someone to be banned, and as Wibble has said it needs looking into really.

If the the poster put up the link knowing full well what people who clicked on it were about to open then imo he doesn't need to be about the place.
The reasoning behind the newbie system is to makes sure idiots who like to do that kind of thing are fished out early doors, and thus keeping the mains as appropriate as possible. If You were to post that in the newbies you'd never get promotion and would be instantly perma banned I bet, should be the same up here.
As I said though if there's a fair reason behind it (I really can't think of one, apart from someone using his login) then fair enough. But if not, should be banned.
I post on the caf everyday from work and one of the good things is you know you can trust 99.9% of the members not to do this, if this happened regular then i'd simply not be able to pos as much, especially from work.
