Caughtoffside.com reports that United are keen on Olympique Lyonnais wide man Michel Bastos. The 27-year-old Brazilian, who can play at left back or further up on the wing, would set United back at least the £16m Lyon paid Lille for his services in 2009.

Since joining Lyon he has improved a lot and has become an international brazilian player.Aulas is a crook, he'd ask at the very least £22-23m.

Yes, you can't take Bastos serious as a defender, much like all of the Brazilian wing-backs in the past. He's a hell of a winger, though.
