moses posted a comment with the word Heyday in it earlier which inspired me to listen to this.

Mic Christopher was an Irish singer/songwriter who was tragically taken from us in November 2001 after falling after a gig in the Netherlands. His debut album 'Skylarkin' was released posthumously and I genuinely consider it, having today listened to it for the first time in a few years, to be one of the greatest this country has ever produced. The man was truly brilliant and would have gone on to bigger things. I feel, as an Irishman, obliged to spread his music to those who undoubtedly would have heard it on their radios if it weren't for that tragedy in 2001.

I've always found his music a bit meh. I tried and all, but it just seems like more of the same tired, old Irish singer-songwriter stuff. Those songs could be by anyone. I probably wouldn't turn them off if they came on the radio, but I don't think I'd stop if I heard it as I was flicking through the stations.

Tragic story all the same.

Yeah I was going to post the album version of Hey Day but that version is ten times better despite the presence of the ginger one.

Yeah me too, I just said it was good because Zebra asked me to and he's a good lad is Zebra.

 It's certainly better than the overhyped Damo Rice.

I still think O is a decent album, in the grand scheme of things.

The problem it had was that every song was played a million times, and you were sick of the album before you'd even listened to it.
