Mel Gibson's 'Apocalypto': Quality!

Yesterday I discovered that one scene in Apocalypto, which I think is a class film, has Where's Wally in it, inserted in one of those single-frame subliminal type things.

Extraordinary. What the feck was Mel Gibson thinking? Maybe he has a kid who loves Where's Wally and he did it for them or something.... strange.

At least it wasn't a cock insert (Fight Club)!

Is this movie pretty good? I've been considering renting.

A brilliant movie, one of those I thought to myself would be shite and I couldn't be arsed watching but it's definitely one of the more better films I have seen for some time.

So how many other splices have been caught in movies?

Good man. At least someone is taking this seriously - making this the fascinating and exciting thread it always should have been.

The Exorcist definitely has one. At two places in the film it flashes up a weird, skull type image, if I remember rightly. It was quite freaky when I first watched it as a teenager.

I didnt know about the cock in Fight Club. So we have three.

Exactly the same. I wasnt going to bother but my old man cajoled me into watching it. Will be interested to see what Mel Gibson does next as a director.

The cock in Fight Club is obvious though. Norton is talking about as Pitt is splicing the film... then Pitt points... and there is the cock... for a split second. It then shows the crowd... they know they've seen it... or did they imagine it.

stop it at 8 seconds anyone having trouble

what the feck?

i never liked this film, even upon first watching i thought it was of poor quality... i could be wrong though, my memory isn't what it used to be... if only there was some way of documenting what you thought of a film at the time, then one could refer back to said response and give a valid opinion... oh well, we can but live and hope.

Why dont you keep all the DVDs youve watched that you like in the oven, and all the ones you dont like in the fridge? That way you can look and see where the DVD is and thus remember what you thought of it.

wasn't a classic, it was good and very good visually.
