Dunfermline manager Jimmy Calderwood is interested in signing Manchester United youngster Alan McDermott. The 20-year-old has struggled to break into Sir Alex Ferguson's team at Old Trafford but has come to the attention of Pars boss Calderwood who is keen to add to his squad for the new campaign. Calderwood is looking for a centre-half and revealed McDermott was one of three or four players who have come to his attention.

He is a bowsie(From Dublin) and too young to get a reserve team place yet. I can't see SAF letting him go yet -he will be worth a couple of million in three years time.
