Much hype about this lad over the channel?

I watched Lyon's latest win and thought he was magnificent. Quick feet and one touch and some beautiful defence splitting balls. Looks a player to me as did Todibo at the back for Nice.

Lyon in last decade produced all of Fekir, Ndombele, Aouar and Cherki all in that advanced midfield area. All hugely hyped and first three had decent careers even if they haven't reached the heights tipped, Cherki only still 20.

Just wondering if Caqueret is seen with same potential or I just caught him on a good night. 24 and seems he's more of a DM so really really interesting profile given some of the passing and link up he was producing.

would he potentially replace casemiro/manchester united?

I thought he looked really good a year or two ago but not seen much since. At one point he was benched quite a bit, so I thought he'd lost form for a while. But he reminded me of a Modric type of player, small and agile, quite hard working, quick feet, tidy in possession etc. Thought he'd push on when the likes of Paqueta left, so maybe he's getting more of a chance now.

I wouldn't say so anymore, won 4 out of their last 5, 6 points off relegation places and 10 away from a ECL spot.

Made some great signings in January, can already see the different Matic has made to the organisation with his experience and Benrahma and Lacazette will always give them the edge in tight matches.

With what they had up to January they would've been in relegation battle all season as that O'Brien guy at the back kept on gifting games with terrible defensive errors but they will probably finish top half now.

Very good player and someone that is easily gettable for us and has been easily gettable for us for a while. He's another Mainoo/Mcallister type player who can play any position in central midfield because of how excellent he is on the ball and the way he can control tempo. I've been surprised he hasn't moved since that CL semi run but hopefully with the new regime in place, he will be identified by club brass and signed.

Wasn't he highly rated?
At one point, yeah. I admittedly haven't seen much of him in recent seasons, but, whenever I did watch him, he always looked good to me.

I'm not surprised he's the type of midfielder Cesc would like.
Mentioned it in another thread, was only 12-18 million euros as well I think.
That's what also surprised me. The fact that he moved and it was to Como for a relatively low fee in todays market. I would have thought some bigger clubs would've been in for him at that price.
