Metro and Independent are reporting he's up for sale and Arsenal are in as well as Inter and Roma. Would love him to replace Vermaelen and I think City are mad to sell him. Injury issues are the one concern. Would prefer him ahead of Agger who is the other name been linked with us.

They will need to offload two foreign players if the Mangala deals go through and literally every one of theirs is of a decent standard (Garcia aside), so it probably would be someone that will raise a few eyebrows like Nastasic or Jovetic.

I think it's a bad idea, he's a great talent.

I agree. I think it was in 2012/2013 when City were playing in the CL that he really caught my eye. Looked comfortable at that level for his age while many of the City players were still pretty timid on the European stage.

Don't see why they would want to sell him, especially today where young, talented centre backs seem thin on the ground. He's a very good player, won't be short of options if City want rid.

Make a deal with some foreign club to buy him on the cheapish then loan him back to us for a season with an option to buy and a massive loan fee ^^

What the feck :wenger:

I don't want players from City or Liverpool :nono:
I wouldn't either, but they took Tevez (and a crocked Hargreaves), so why not take one of their best players. Better than a reject like De Jong. He's only had this one injury am I right? No risk imo, or at least very little.

Because our club has soul
We took RVP off arsenal who are technically bigger rivals than City. A nebulous soul has nothing to do with club business and buying (most) of the best players. For example, I would not want to sign Suarez but would sign Toure. One is a racist, biter and diver but a great player, the other although petulant and a mercenary is a great player and nowhere near as bad.

Uhm no ? :wenger:

He's a promising defender who was very good the season before last but you might be going a bit far here.

He's better than the man they're bringing in. Defensively, by a fairly big margin, too. They will regret allowing him to leave.

Like Spurs did with Zeke Fryers? One of the Italian clubs may be up to it ;)

I want him to make room for Mangala. Nastasic is younger and better than him, just hope City don't sell him to Arsenal.

He's quite good. But I doubt City would ever sell any players to us. They would rather sell to Liverpool or Arsenal.

Any big teams who needs any CB around ( other than us)?

Why not? I'd agree in cases where the player has a strong connection to the club but Nastasic obviously doesn't really give a shit about City. He's a top young player and they'd be daft to let him go but if they do I hope we'd at least try and bring him in.

Pretty much everyone could make room for a quality young CB.

I don't think we'll sell him.

You'd be silly to as you're not exactly brimming with quality at CB. Even when your new signing goes through you only have 4 (ignoring the likes of Richards and Boyata who plainly aren't good enough).

If you need to offload him due to the amount of foreign players then surely a loan is the best option for a year (or until Demichelles retires)

City players aren't really City players though. More like hired mercenaries.

That's true, it does bug me how United manage to convince players to play for free - we've got a long way to go yet. :(

I agree, a loan would be a good option if we really must. I'd sooner sell Demichelis than Nastasic though, purely based on age.
