I expect this to be my favorite album for some time like with all Mastodon albums when they are released. Crackin' band.

Their last album was a grower, good band.

For me though, if Isis and Neurosis were the Progressive Metal version of Robson and Keane, then Mastodon are the genre's Gerrard.

They had the album for free on youtube today. Forgot to post it. It's good. Only heard it once and I was browsing and what not whilst doing it but like the other albums there isn't a specific song I don't like. That's the beauty of them. I don't use the skip button when listening to Mastodon.

It's certainly different but not shit. It's very good. They've done so different albums but always pull it off.

It's 15 songs and 53 minutes vs 7 songs and 50 minutes. Very different indeed. Strange that metal heads seem to rate it more than Crack the Sky.

The 3rd review on her kind of gives you a perspective about what the album is.
