I do enjoy a good mash-up (when done well), have enjoyed the following;

Enter The Magical Mystery Chambers (Beatles vs. Wu Tang Clan)

(500) Days of Weezy (Lil' Wayne vs. 500 Days of Summer OST)

The Notorious XX (The xx vs. Notorious BIG)

The Grey Album (Beatles vs. Jay-Z)

Illinoize (Tor vs. Sufjan Stevens)

Also listened to Girl Talk (like) and 2 Many DJs (meh), but anyone recommend any others?

Girl Talk

This is a good one by Bullion

Good thread.

I loved the Wu-Beatles mashup.

Johhny Cash vs Eazy E

The XX vs B.I.G is brilliant IMO. The intro track is bananas.

DMX vs The XX (same beat as Dead Wrong intro.)

I hate to be a pedant...but I'm going to be anyway. Neither of those songs are from either of the albums referenced, and the ODB track isn't even a Wu-Tang tune...

Other than that...good thread

Rock Sugar are the ultimate mash-up band.

The ultimate, I say!

Kick him in the groin, Second Fig. He's saltin' your game for real, yo.

Funnily enough, the ODB side of that always bugged me, but I overlooked it as it works really well. Not being a huge Beatles fan I haven't got a clue what album their track comes from

Which 2 Many DJs album did you listen to?

I think they're rather good. Takes quite an imagination to mash up Royksopp and Dolly Parton.

Not to mention combining Salt n' Peppa with The Stooges.

I've got their Hang All DJs (1-5) and the first 7 of their As Heard On Radio Soulwax. I liked the stuff like the tracks you quoted but in a quite a few places I found it got too... dancey for me. "Meh" may have been harsh, but I definitely prefer the less dancey mash-up albums.

On a slight side, if you like 2 Many DJs I'd recommend Girl Talk, very similar only with predominantly rap vocals over assorted pop songs (and less dancey!).

I really didn't like the Dj Hero one. Maybe it's because theres a lot of average ones on there, that it detracts away from the good ones.

Mick Boogie x Peter, Bjorn & John - The Reliving Thing

I used to love this one as a kid.

And this isn't bad.

Although i have to warn you it seems the weird guy from the pics thread features in this video.

A personal favourite: The Cure vs Pharcyde

That one is quality - is it just a one off track or is there an album somewhere?

It's from an Ep: Controller7 - Bozo Geeko Blends

The other good track from it is this Outkast one

And another that I couldn't find a youtube for which is brilliant - Champion/Your Love (Timberlake). It sounds like a ravey Nina Simone:

John Lennon Vs Van Halen - Imagine a jump

Black or free (Queen / Michael Jackson)
